Definitions
Someone once said to me, "I really want to whip you." I like single tails a fair amount, actually, so I cautiously said that might be nice. But, I was apprehensive because the single tail is a fairly specific skill and I won't let just anyone start having a go at me with a whip. As we continued talking, he produced a crop. And he said, 'yes, I love this whip'. It turned out, that he meant he wanted to crop me. His term and my term were defined quite differently. And, by the way: both of us were correct. We simply used different words.
When something as tangible as a crop - something I can hold in my hand - may have different terms amongst us, it is clear that things such as Daddy, Dom, babygirl, slave, sub - these will definitely be tricky semantic waters to navigate.
I say that I am looking for a Daddy. I'd like to tell you more about what that means to me so that it clears up some ambiguity:
I am looking for a monogamous partner with whom I can invest my trust, my honor and my respect. I want a partner who I can pour my honor into because I find him honorable. If I am having a difficult time in my career, I would like to be able to come to Daddy to talk things over with him. He does not need to give me advice or have answers; he may just listen to me and reflect back what he hears. But, he is a man whom I have great respect for and I would seek out his thoughts and opinions. I am not a submissive who would need or desire humiliation and degradation. I do not need my "status reduced" or for anyone to show me that I am "less than" him. If he is honorable and worthy of respect then that stands on its own. He does not need to reduce me to elevate himself. I am not looking for age play and I have never worn diapers. If Daddy felt like there was a good reason for it that would deepen our connection in our dynamic, then I would be open to that. But, it is not a kink for me.
Luxuries with Daddy might include things like: having him bathe me or brush my hair or simply holding me in his lap. I am a loving, caring little girl and I give my heart very freely when it is right.
Please note that, while I state both things I like and things I am not looking for, I still see the value of those things that I do not choose. I understand they are good for some people. They simply are not what I choose.
