UPDATE I spent the first week of May 2013 in a coma with meningitis and the rest of the summer in a nursing home slowly learning to walk again. I still use a walker and tire easily. Im slowly getting stronger but the doctors dont know if I will make a full recovery. When the brain is affected its difficult to predict how much damage has been done and how much I can regain.
Update in June 2018 an unfortunate series of events happened that resulted in my right leg being amputated just above the knee. Im recovering quickly, healing well and learning to walk with a prosthetic leg. Just one more challenge for me to overcome. |
