Collared and not searching. I visit Collarme to read and post on the boards. Good luck in your search!
j Update: It's been nearly six years since Master found me here. If I've neglected to say thank you, Collarme, let me do it now. Thank you Gracias Merci Danke ᏩᏙ Go raibh maith agat He is my world. |

I've been slow in posting this update, but have had some great reasons! Master and I had a rough beginning, but after some serious soul searching (and a terribly lonesome mid-winter) I'm back where I belong, in his home in the woods. The collar has never felt better and my heart sings.

The search is so very difficult. How did those bright eyed twenty somethings who seemed to have so much in common all those years ago grow into who we are today? I'm the worst example. My "must haves" are just impossible, I guess. I actually found myself trying to explain monogamy to a lovely man the other night - and failed completely. Where is it written that a slave must leave the contents of her brain at the door before entering? Sigh... Back to the green chile turkey soup, I suppose. It'll take the chill off this night. |

Watched #2 daughter dance her go-go dancer act at a club in Santa Fe - what a surreal kick! She is in her element - graceful and happy, and her sisters dance with her just like they were born to. Magic. I'm such a lucky mom. Some of my best friends are related to me... |

Thanksgiving dinner today. I know, I know, but that's when all three superdaughters could be here together. They laughed and teased all through the "sacred" family traditions. Who knew that was what black olives were for? Heh, heh...
I'm so blessed in so many ways - just missing that one, essential element... |

That steady sun outside reminds me why I love this time of year so much. Even the dogs are smiling. Tree surgeons are on my list of heroes, by the way. A crew, complete with trucks, crane, chipper, and tools removed an old elm yesterday. Final score: Power lines, 0, jocelyn and crew 1. Enjoy your day - and find someone to warm the night, too.

A couple of other thoughts come to mind. Please do your wife and me both a favor - you'll break her heart and I don't play those games. Yes, yes, I know that slaves are frequently loaned out - that's so far in the future that we can talk about it then. Monogamy is a sensible thing, for the safety of our health, as well as our hearts. |

Progress! The books are (mostly) shelved again, the new accent wall colors make me smile, and this nest is feeling good again. I've made some new friends here - collarme is so good at that, and am enjoying some of the emails. Today the plumbing, tomorrow the landscaping... woo hoo! |

Perhaps the most reassuring thing is that the sun continues to rise each morning, the beagle still declares his love for me (and anything else he can wrap his muzzle around) and this old house demands so much of my time. |

My apologies for those who responded to the recent profile and accompanying journal entry. The writing was not my own. |
