Here's how I see things, being dominant isn't being a dick constantly. That's just being a dick. Being strong is the ability to keep control of not only yourself and another but to be that rock and strength and guidance for another who. Now dominance requires strength, yes sometimes physically but mostly mentally and emotionally. How can one trusted to have control of another when he/she is unable to control themselves?
Anyone can be a dick or be abusive. But it takes a certain kind of person to be able to be dominant and be that beacon of order.
There is a very large difference between dominance and abuse. Don't fall prey to the later.
