I am compelled to write in response to the drivel that has recently spawned in my inbox ... true love ... I got over the fairy tale myth long ago ... love is not always beautiful and flowery and sweet ... Love is holding someones hair back as they puke their guts out at 3 am ... not being afraid to argue because you know you have a solid foundation ... It's work .. and damn hard work some days ... so if you want to talk about flowers and living happily ever after ... go talk to someone else. I was watching a football game yesterday and a not so gentleman got rather loud and obnoxious when it became quite apparent that his favorite team was going to lose. I couldn't help but wonder why he'd bothered watching. It was one of those games where you already knew who was going to win and it wasn't his team. I then got to thinking what happened to the love of the game ... when did it all become so twisted??
