I just logged on to this website this morning as I do once in a while, less and less frequently: at the beginning, with enthusiasm I sent notes to one and another, always some different words; very few responded, which is "normal" since this is a sort of "fishing" process. What surprised me most is the fact that submissive seem to be WAITING for messages and not advancing themselves towards prospective Masters. Sure, they "take precautions"! But letting know one's interest is not entering into immediate relationship and commitment. At length, serious seekers of D/s just abandon the field to perseverant sharks... in my opinion!
Another item upon which I reflected more than once: relocation. For me, that means that the submissive is ready to move towards her new Master at some point of time. What people don't seem to realize, is that however numerous we can be on this site, there are but very few profiles of persons living in the SAME NEIGHBORHOOD and sharing the SAME INTERESTS; to succeed at encountering the "perfect" companion/partner/etc, compromise has to be made on either the location or the expectations. For myself, I don't believe in adapting my desires to fit a potential submissive: the duration of the relationship would already be at risk! At the same time, the idea of a submissive WILLING (note the word) to relocate for ME would be such a show of TRUST that I would do my best to keep her as a very precious treasure.
