San Diego and Imperial Counties are home to breathtaking, biologically diverse landscapes. From coastal beaches and rolling hills to snow-capped mountains and sunbaked deserts, these regions host well over 1,500 native plant species, more than 500 bird species, and hundreds of reptiles, insects, and mammals, including threatened species like the Coastal California Gnatcatcher, Quino Checkerspot Butterfly, Willowy Mint, and Otay Tarplant.
At the CNPS San Diego Chapter, we work tirelessly to preserve, restore, and educate the public about this remarkable biodiversity. Join us in giving voice to our region’s native plants, ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy these natural treasures.
