Building Responsibly is a group of leading engineering and construction companies working together to raise the bar in protecting and enhancing worker welfare, dignity and respect in the built environment and energy sector.
Our Rationale
We have come together to foster and ensure a better working environment for workers in the engineering and construction sector. Doing so will allow us to more effectively respond to client, stakeholder, and regulatory expectations, and manage a healthier, more productive workforce.
Our Progress
In 2025, Building Responsibly continued to advance worker welfare across the built environment and energy sectors by enhancing industry human rights due diligence tools and facilitating peer learning on worker voice and remedy, among other topics.
In 2026, we are focusing on three priorities: building business partner capacity on worker welfare, aligning across definitions of worker welfare issues, and data practices and operationalizing BR’s Principles through local regional engagement in the Gulf.
