Bonobo Concept Store is a furniture brand that is based in Accra, Ghana since 2018.
We design and produce handcrafted furniture and interior items, that blend the talent of African artisans with the beauty of local materials.
We believe that your space is your canvas and our purpose is to bring your ideas to life through thoughtfully designed, high quality pieces.
We are constantly finding new ways of expressing and enhancing local materials through our designs. Every piece we construct is precision built from scratch for a specfic space, an individual and a particular feeling.

ABOUT CÉLIA AND PETER

Célia and Peter both grew up in Africa: Peter in Ghana and Célia in Cote d’Ivoire. After their studies in France, it was only natural for them to return to Africa in 2015.

“ We started Bonobo in 2018 as a side business since we were both working in our respective jobs. We realized that getting nice furniture in Ghana was a bit of a challenge. There were three options:

Some very expensive shops with beautiful pieces, some roadside carpenters difficult to rely on, and some midrange stores with imported furniture. ” That is how we decided we could do something; design our own elegant furniture, made in Ghana!

Since 2018, we have grown from one artisan working in our home to a group of trusted carpenters, welders, sprayers who help us craft the Bonobo experience in our workshop. We are very excited about this journey and we hope you will enjoy “working with us!”
