The City of Birmingham seeks to drive growth, access, and opportunity for entrepreneurs during its Small Business Week 2026
At a time when entrepreneurs are navigating rising costs, limited access to capital, and increasing competition, the City of Birmingham is taking bold action. From May 3 through May 9, the City will host Small Business Week 2026, an initiative designed to connect entrepreneurs directly to the resources, relationships, and opportunities needed to grow and scale.
Sloss Metal Arts Summer Youth Apprenticeship
The Summer Youth Apprenticeship was founded on the importance of passing on the history of Sloss and the many techniques and traditions of metal art. This paid, 8 week program, employs 10-15 high school students, aged 16-19, to work and study under professional artists for 30 hours per week.
