Variety Name: IFG 68-175

Sweet Celebration™ is one of a new generation red seedless grape, mid-to-late season with excellent eating qualities. A naturally large oval-shaped berry, Sweet Celebration™ colours well, producing a sweet, tasty, crispy firm textured berry in medium clusters. Sweet Celebration™ is hard to beat in the ‘sweet and crisp’ category of grapes with a nice balance between sweetness and acids.

Variety Name: IFG Nine

Jack's Salute™ is a mid-to-late season red seedless grape with elongated oval berry shape. Jack’s Salute™ are naturally large size grapes with a firm crunchy taste, good flavour, and strong storage capabilities. The grapes colours well and forms large naturally loose bunches.

ARRA Cherry Crush™ is admired for its intense cherry- colour, high sweetness, pleasing sugar-acid balance, and cherry notes. ARRA Cherry Crush is fully rain resistant, has excellent fertility, exceptional storage ability and shelf life.

Variety Crimson Seedless

Crimson Seedless are bright red, large, cylindrical-oval grapes. The berries are crisp, firm, with balanced levels of neutral sweetness and an attractive appearance. Bunches are medium in size, conical with a shoulder, and well filled. Crimson Seedless have excellent storage properties both on the vine and during transportation. For many years, Crimson Seedless has been the mainstay of the late season supply of red seedless grapes. For consumers, Crimson Seedless grapes are a reliably sweet choice with a good crisp texture.

BIOSUN fields are located in Trikala within the Thessalian plain an important, fertile, agricultural area of Greece.

Although within the Thessalian plain, the fields are at the foot of two important mountains Itamos, and Koziakas, which mark the east side of the Pindos mountainline. Those mountains mark the entrance to a great gorge and the natural path that leads to western Greece. The gorge, first mentioned in the Antiquity through the work of Pausanias, was referenced as the “Great Gates”, forming a natural passage between Western Greece (Epirus) and Eastern Greece (Thessaly).

BIOSUN fields benefit from the Mediterranean climate, hot summers, quite mild autumn and spring and cold winters.

BIOSUN is a large-scale fruit producer from Greece, currently farming 55ha, in Trikala, Thessaly. The company is focused on seedless table grapes production and has started investing in new, world-renowed proprietary table grape varieties, based on their quality, aromatic profile, and crispy texture.

The product portfolio of BIOSUN’s vineyard includes both red and white seedless varieties in all production windows (early, mid and late season). An extensive vineyard re-planting program is currently in full swing expanding the table grapes varietal offering of BIOSUN.

BIOSUN is adopting smart agriculture techniques such as A.I. crop monitoring & yield prediction, precision farming based on real-time data of on-fields meteorological stations, data driven irrigation based on real-time soil moisture, controlled use of biofertilizers based on environmental measurements and use of natural birds of prey (owl TYTO) for the natural management of the rodent population in crops.

5% of BIOSUN’s fields are permanent grassland, in line with the EU Agricultural Strategy.

Company’s operations and products are certified according to the EU Regulation 2018/848 on organic production, GLOBALG.A.P. on farm assurance and GRASP on workers’ health, safety, and welfare.
