We’ve been supporting Australians since 1813  as an independent, non-religious service provider that assists people to achieve independent living. Today, The Benevolent Society continues this tradition whilst updating our services to cater to modern life.

As a service provider, The Benevolent Society has a range of services and programs tailored to empower our clients to live life on their own terms.

Aged Care. My Way.

Aged & Home Care services at The Benevolent Society empower older Australians to live independently in their own homes. Age is no longer a barrier to living an active and independent life, but sometimes, support is needed to make the most of everyday life.

  • Flexible Respite for carers
  • Safe & Secure Living

Government subsidies are available to support your needs. Fees may apply for those who don't meet the criteria for subsidised services. We offer Aged & Home Care services in NSW and the ACT.

Disability Services. My Way. 

As of July, 2025, The Benevolent Society no longer provides disability therapy and positive behavioural support services. Click here to find out more.

We offer a range of support services for Carers in metropolitan Sydney (excluding South Western Sydney and Nepean) via Carer Gateway. 
 
In Queensland, Australia we are the Early Childhood Approach (ECA) partner for the NDIA. The ECA is a national program supporting children under 9 years of age with a disability, or under 6 years of age who have developmental concerns and their families, funded by The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).  

Throughout Australia we provide the Disability Gateway, which is a free, Australian government national service helping people with disability, their families, and carers, find trusted information and services.
