TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF UKAS ACCREDITATION
On 26 February 2026, we were notified that UKAS has instigated a temporary suspension of the BBA’s accreditation status, due to a change in corporate structure in 2025. This means that at present, we are unable to deliver accredited testing, inspection and certification activities.
In an earlier message on our website, we stated that this did not in any way relate to the organisation’s competency or ability to function as a Certification Body. UKAS have asked us to confirm that the suspension is relevant to all activity to BS EN ISO / IEC 17020, BS EN ISO / IEC 17021, BS EN ISO / IEC 17025 and BS EN ISO / IEC 17065, and that this has been the case since the suspension of accreditation was enacted by UKAS on 26th February 2026.
Until and unless our accreditation is restored by UKAS, any ongoing work by the BBA will be performed outside of their accreditation. Both parties are working together to address the non-conformity of the suspension as effectively and promptly as possible to ensure all requirements of accreditation are met.

As a provider of an approved Insulation Installer Scheme, we are working closely with stakeholders in our sector as we play our part in driving safety and quality in construction.
