Theatre Aspen’s Local’s Pass will go on sale in-person from 10 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. April 7 at Clark’s Market, located at 300 Puppy Smith Rd.

The sale will continue at 10 a.m. April 8 online if passes are leftover from the day before. Last year’s passes sold out within 36 hours.

“Summer in Aspen is already extraordinary, but there’s something uniquely magical about ending a mountain day at the theater,” Theatre Aspen’s Executive Producer Michael Radar told The Aspen Times.

The Local’s Pass covers three summer shows: “Sylvia,” “A Chorus Line” and “Grease.” Each pass includes one ticket to each summer mainstage production and one free ticket to a Solo Flights production of the passholder’s choice.

“Sylvia” is a comedic play centered on a middle-aged, empty-nester couple whose marriage is disrupted when the husband brings home a stray, street-smart labradoodle called Sylvia.

The musical “A Chorus Line” follows 17 Broadway dancers auditioning for spots on a chorus line.

And “Grease” is a high-energy, high school romantic comedy between a “greaser” and a “good girl” set in the 1950’s.

“With a lineup that moves from sharp comedy to beloved musical theatre to a full-scale summer crowd-pleaser, these passes don’t just sell, they disappear, because people know it’s their chance to claim the entire season,” Radar said.

The Premium, Standard and Matinee Passes are offered to Roaring Fork Valley residents only.

“Our season pass pre-sale at Clark’s market has become a wonderful Aspen tradition. More importantly, the ability to offer substantial savings on ticket prices for our summer MainStage season is an important commitment that we are proud to make to our community,” Producing Director Jed Bernstein said.

The Premium Pass is an opportunity to book the best seats in the house and walk to the red carpet if it’s redeemed for opening night performances and preshow receptions (based on availability), along with the benefits of the other passes. It offers the potential for a 30% discount.

The Standard Pass is 28% off the standard ticket price, but it does not offer ticket redemption for opening nights.

The biggest discount is on the Matinee Passes, which unlock a 45% savings for the daytime shows. Similar to the Standard Pass, it does not offer redemption on opening days, but it also allows for free ticket exchanges and has the same reservation window.

Season pass seat reservations have an exclusive window from April 27 to May 8, prior to the public sale on May 12.

Single tickets will go on sale in person from 10 a.m. May 12 in person at the Hurst Theatre and online at 10 a.m. May 13.

Premium, Standard and Matinee Passes allow for free ticket exchanges if a seat for a different show date or time is available. All single tickets have an $8 ticket exchange fee for a different date or time, as long as a seat is available.
