From May 22nd to 23rd, 2026, the Center for Financial Development and Stability (CFDS) at Henan University and the International Network for Economic Research (INFER) will organize their 9th annual Workshop on Applied Macroeconomics hosted by Henan University. As always, we invite papers from all fields of applied macroeconomics.

Selected excellent papers will be considered for a special issue in Empirical Economics. Those papers will be subject to additional double-blind peer review.  More details on the submission process will be available during the conference.

The conference venue is Henan University's Zhengzhou campus near Longzi Lake. The campus is conveniently located only 10 driving minutes away from Zhengzhou East Train Station and 35 driving minutes from Xinzheng Airport. A direct train connection is also available from Xinzheng Airport to Zhengzhou East Train Station (17 minutes).

Please arrange your arrival on May 21st for registration and welcoming. We will schedule presentations all day on May 22nd and 23rd. In addition, we will organize an optional post-conference trip to visit the Henan Museum on May 24th.

The conference fee is RMB 1,000, payable at registration. It includes lunch and formal dinners on May 22 and 23rd.
