    It explains in great detail what spam is, but in terms that most people will understand. It them goes on to offer solutions, some of which I have successfully adopted. Anyone who suffers from spam, i.e. everyone, would benefit from reading this

    Part of me wants to say that this quick read is common sense, but then I consider the old saying "common sense is neither". Randy takes on the topic of something very serious in our everyday internet world and makes it an entertaining, thought-provoking, educational read. I first read earlier versions of this on his web site years ago and it's great to know that current tools can make reducing spam considerably easier. Also, it is our collective responsibility to discourage spammers by simply not participating. You can read this info quickly and take the steps to make your inbox a better place to live. Be committed to a goal of getting and giving less spam by practicing the easy tactics Randay describes, as well as having some personal discipline. You and your friends will be glad you did.

    I have always enjoyed all of Randy's writing. He is thoughtful, informative, and concise, and I particularly appreciate his turning his talents to the topic of Spam. Not only does he explain why it is such a scourge, and why it is so important for us all to take part in stamping it out, he also provides specific methods for avoiding spam and detecting other threats. This is well worth reading and, occasionally, rereading, and the suggestions for preventing a lot of the spam I was getting more than pay for the small cost of the ebook.
