Revolution of Wild Magic Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars (4)

Lukas and Alena, deeply in love, are saving up money to leave their picaresque little town, as the new town prefect wants Alena's hand in marriage. When the prefect sabotages their attempt to flee, Alena vows to do whatever is necessary to bring him down and save her relationship. Her motivations are tested as it becomes clear that she's not the only one suffering at the hands of her nemesis, but does she care enough to see her new allies as more than a tool she can use for revenge? Lukas, meanwhile, accidentally steals and absorbs a magical stone eye that gives him the ability to wield wild magic, but at a tremendous cost. The magic slowly transforms him into his ideal body, that of a woman, something Lukas has been hiding for his entire life. Will the lovebirds' relationship survives the trials of change and revolution that surround them, or are they doomed to lose each other in the process of getting what they want?

This edition of the story contains all the original chapters, edited for clarity and typos, as well as three additional addendums to the story that expand on the world and characters within it in new ways.

A multi-genre story that was engaging!!

A multi-genre story that was engaging!!
Reading this book made me curious about what else this author has to offer. I realized that she has a ScribbleHub full of other writings! I highly suggest you check out her other work! Now for the review, the story focuses on two characters Alena and Lukas through some unexpected changes and challenges. What appealed to me the most was the fact that as I was reading I felt like I was reading a multi-genre book. I wasn't sure if fantasy stories were my thing, but I enjoy fiction, romance, and stories that address sociopolitical issues. This book had it all and I am impressed with the author's flexibility. I enjoyed the fantasy aspects of the story because I was getting so much of what I already enjoy in books. There is character development and the main characters each have their own individual stories and additional characters also have significance. I cared about many of the characters and their impact on the story. I felt like this book did a great job of combining multiple genres and telling a story that I was quite expecting. The ending might have been predictable, but it was all right with me because I was deeply invested in the story. Finally, I'd like to say that I enjoyed how this author introduced the idea of trans fiction in the story and to me for the first time as a reader. I truly enjoyed it and can definitely see myself looking for more content in that genre. I highly recommend you give the book a chance and hope you enjoy it. I aim to read more from this author and in the genre of trans fiction as a whole.

This book is more about rebellion then any of its other themes, and the way oppression strains the relationships we can hold. And being consumed by the cages uncaring society places.

From the blurb, I was fully expecting an traveling adventure as they find themselves.

not everyone learns there lesson, not everyone says they are sorry not all family ties make it.

There were times I wished the story would focus in on there tie and love more. But this is how hard times can be, sometimes you just can only be there for others.

Haha I liked being frustrated when they wished for more because the other is not around, only to then, drive themselves into doing the same thing.
