Pinchas Winston was born and grew up in Toronto, Canada. With a background in architecture and graphic design, he later went to study in Israel from 1983-1988, after which time he received rabbinic ordination. Married and with children, he officially moved to Israel in 1993, at which time he became a full-time writer and international lecturer. He is best known for using traditional Jewish sources, both revealed and hidden, to provide a deeper and clearer understanding of current events. He writes an essay on the weekly Torah reading called 'Perceptions', as well as a weekly commentary on current events called 'Connecting The Dots.' To date, he was written over 70 books, most of which are available on his site www.thirtysix.org in one form or another. Perceptions is read by thousands each week, sent out by torah.org, and his video presentations can be viewed on YouTube.
