- Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2017Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseI like the idea of this book (and it's price!), and it's good for people who are mystified by drawing. That said, I don't think it's a great resource for sketch noters in particular. Why? Most of the drawings are too detailed for what's realistic during a live sketch noting session. I think simpler drawings with fewer lines that lean closer to icons would be more helpful if the audience is really supposed to be people who do live sketch noting work. Teaching simpler drawings would be more beneficial in my opinion. Also, I think the concepts could have been edited better. For example, one of the images ideas is for a hedgehog. In my 10 years of graphic recording (which is like big sketch noting) I've never drawn a hedgehog, but I've drawn an iPhone (something that I don't think is included) 2,000 times. There are a number of more useful images, but I would have loved to see concepts covered that are more likely to appear.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2017Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseGreat little book, and I like how it shows the breakdown/thinking behind drawing simple designs. Great for those of us who want to add more images to our notes/mind-maps and haven't had the benefit of an art classes. Thank you!

ericReviewed in Germany on September 27, 20165.0 out of 5 stars Großartig
________
I do not normally write bilingual reviews, but here it is worth it. At a coast of 5€ the author takes you through his personal work and from my point of view it's worth double and twice the money because it focuses on the thing you want to do (drawing, sketching, learning) than a fancy Layout. This is a workbook but so easy to understand you could give it to any child and they will immediately know what to do. Thanks again to the author for this great work!
TONI TASSANIReviewed in Spain on September 28, 20165.0 out of 5 stars Start drawing now!
Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseMauro did a great job collecting "instructions" for drawing everyday things. If you want to improve your visual vocabulary you stop before the final step. If you want your children to get confidence and they feel they need instructions, here they will find inspiring drawings. And, as long as it's not expensive, you just can add colour and experiment on it.

DUTELReviewed in France on November 3, 20162.0 out of 5 stars Contenu impec mais reliure défectueuse
Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseLe contenu de ce petit livre est très complet et bien foutu, en revanche les pages se détachent toutes, ce qui le rend vite inutilisable
