A’DAM Lookout is absolutely beautiful. The view from the rooftop is stunning, and being able to go up to such a great height and see all of Amsterdam from above is already worth the visit on its own. The panoramic view is breathtaking, especially on a clear day.

Another really nice touch is the rooftop bar. You can grab a drink and enjoy an amazing view over the entire city, which makes the experience feel relaxed and special at the same time. It’s the perfect spot to take in the skyline and just enjoy the moment.

There’s also the famous swing experience. It costs around €50 for two people, and while it’s definitely thrilling and gives you a great adrenaline rush, it’s more of a “do it once in your life” kind of thing. It’s fun and exciting for a couple of minutes, but paying around €25 per person for such a short ride feels a bit overpriced. Once you’ve done it once, doing it again doesn’t really add much.

One downside is that you’re not allowed to take photos or videos while you’re on the swing. At best, people watching from below can take pictures of you, which is a bit of a shame because it would be nice to capture the moment yourself.

Overall, A’DAM Lookout is a fantastic experience for the views and the atmosphere alone. The swing is cool to try once for the thrill, but the real highlight is simply being up there, enjoying the skyline of Amsterdam with a drink in hand.

We visited A’DAM Lookout today. It has a thrilling swing on top of the building (not for faint hearted) and a virtual rollercoaster ride. The A’DAM’s building has a revolving restaurant, hotel, shared workplaces. The lift ride to access the top floor is cool with dazzling lighting. The building is easily accessible from Amsterdam Centraal Station through F3 ferry which is free for public and takes few minutes. We had a great time. I would suggest to put few electric heaters where people waiting for the swing ride to keep them warm.

We had a fantastic day at Adams Lookout and Swing! From the top, the views are just wow—big green hills, blue sky, and far-away places. It's perfect for taking lots of photos to share with friends. The swing is the best part. You sit in it, they push you out over the edge, and whoosh—you fly! It feels scary but exciting, like a big adventure. Don't worry, it's very safe with strong ropes and harnesses.Good things about it: stunning scenery that makes you happy, a quick but thrilling ride that lasts about a minute, and prices that are fair—not too expensive. You get great value for the fun.The staff were super friendly. They smiled, joked a bit to make us relax, and explained everything clearly. One guy even took our photos for free!Best time to visit is early morning when it's quiet and cool, or sunset. Sunset is awesome—the sky turns pink, orange, and purple. The whole place looks magical, and the swing at that time is extra special. Just go early or late to skip big crowds. We went with friends and can't wait to go back. Totally recommend for anyone who likes adventure and pretty views!

We had such a fun experience while travelling in Amsterdam at the A’DAM Lookout!

We booked the swing and the VR rollercoaster, and both were brilliant. The swing was such a laugh, definitely gets the adrenaline going and the views from the tower are absolutely fantastic.

It’s a great “must-do” activity when you’re visiting. The history inside is also really interesting and well worth taking the time to read while you’re there.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for something fun and a little different!

I'm petrified of heights and the swing was so scary but I'm so glad I did it. The adrenaline rush afterwards was worth it. The observation deck is great, with enough to keep you entertained for a while. There's a cafe at the top to buy drinks. We didn't eat at the restaurant so can't comment. If it's very wet/windy I'm not sure I'd recommend it. The views were stunning, and the gift shop at the exit on ground floor is nice

Great views accross the city of Amsterdam! Highly recommend. Accessible from Central station by the F3 ferry. There is a VR rollercoaster ride (costs extra) which we did and found it very exhilarating. There is also a swing on the top platform (costs extra) which there is usually a queue for so allow an extra 30 mins at least.

Visited here on a trip to Amsterdam from the UK in early December 2025 - very organised checking in process and staff were professional and polite if not overly friendly.

The swing was a good experience however it is very short so perhaps a little overpriced. The digital versions of the staged photographs you get taken being included in the price softened this a little though.

The view I imagine would be great over Amsterdam especially at sunset or in better weather conditions, unfortunately the city was shrouded in fog when we were there so had no view at all, of course this is not the fault of the venue or staff so that's not why it's 4* instead of 5*.

The VR rollercoaster was interesting, I wouldn't pay for it solely by itself and the member of staff operating it on the day clearly didn't want to be there and did not even speak to us when we showed him our tickets.

There was also a fire alarm test meaning we had to walk down a fire escape stairwell to get out, not the end of the world obviously but when the test was only supposed to last 20 minutes and was close to lasting 40 by the time we asked if we could use the stairs, not great.

All in all I would recommend, I may even visit again if I went back to Amsterdam hoping for better weather!

As sonebody who is scared if heights I thoroughly enjoyed the Amsterdam Lookout and swing.

To access it does require climbing a few flights of very steep stairs so is not suitable for people with limited mobility.

The staff members were lovely and the bar area was reasonably priced for the location (~€8.80 for a large glass of Rosé (photo attached for reference)).

Every city has one of these high towers to have a nice view of the skyline. This is no exception. Pick the right time of the day and the right weather and you will love it. If you are a thrill speaker, go for the swing. If you have a go city pass, the viewing deck is free, u pay extra for the swing.

Great views, but today was hazy because of the sun.
Perhaps later in the day may have been better.
I liked the music that was playing as we had a drink.
Shame we did not know about the audio guide you can download until we were leaving.
The staff should advise you really.

Would recommend to do prior online booking to avoid the line at the entrance.

We got a combo, which included swing along with the VR experience. I really enjoyed my time on the open roof top. Minus the cold windy weather ;P

They also provide you a QR code where you can get all your photos for FREE.
Go wild and shoot some cool memories.

Interesting was, how they made an 15 sec elevator ride a small disco experience.

Our visit was a good experience. As for the place and the service, we have no complaints — the staff is attentive and the environment is very well organized. Unfortunately, we went on a rainy and foggy day, so we couldn’t enjoy it as much. The swing is fun and VERY HIGH, but definitely worth it.
The only detail that could be improved was the menu, with few options and medium-high prices, but after all, it’s not really meant to be a gastronomic service!

A’DAM Lookout offers an amazing view of Amsterdam — definitely worth a visit! The view is especially beautiful in the evening when the city lights come on.

Just keep in mind that there’s an entrance fee of around €18–€19 per person, and if you want to go on the famous swing at the top, that’s an extra €7.50.

Nice little jaunt from Amsterdam, walk to centraal station, walk under the tunnel, it takes you to the Ferry. But be careful as of the 3, 1 goes down the water and not just across the way like the other 2. Free Ferry across the way, turn right and then you're there. Great fast lift up, top floor is open and had a bar, but was too windy that day, so one floor down, there's a windowed floor that has a bar, where we sat and enjoyed a drink. Very enjoyable place that's a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Damraak.

Friendly, helpful staff, fantastic views across Amsterdam. No brave (or crazy) enough to try the swing at the edge of the roof. The free ferry gets you from Amsterdam Central Station across to the lookout. The only disappointment was the gift shop, I didn't see anything worth buying.

I love getting a view from you high when visiting a new city. This place provides a fantastic 360 view. The inside has tables to eat and drink at and then there is a view just above that from the outside. There's a little drink and snack stand outside with some seating. There's also swings that go out over the edge of the building. I skipped those, but if you're looking for a thrill go for it. There's also music constantly playing. I'd recommend this to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

It’s a cool place to spend 30min to an hour (if you drink) there, you can enjoy the 360 degrees observation of the Amsterdam city. The look back to Amsterdam station is fabulous, and there’re also swings with another 7.5 euros if you are brave 😇 but overall I think it’s quite worth it, just try to go on a sunny day

Great views of Amsterdam below! Was lucky to go there during SAIL so it was amazing to see all the boats go past. Roughly 20m to enter and leave as there is only 1 lift down! The swing lasts 2-5 minutes but you can’t bring phones on it and record while swinging. The snacks and the drinks on the top are quite expensive but the food the floor below is amazing. I recommend you visit when there aren’t any events on, so you won’t have to wait as long as I did!

This is a nice stop on your journey through Amsterdam. Ferry from the Central station drives non stop and takes 2 min to get you across. It is free of charge as well.
We booked tickets on line, but only an hour earlier- as for the swing you need to select the exact (15min) time slot.

We tried the VR and swing experience. And was totally worth it.

Just make sure you go up on a sunny day, so you can completely enjoy the views as well…

Great observation deck with views across the city. You can walk all round at the top.
The Swing wasn’t for me even though I got a ticket 🤣. It looked way too scary! My friend went on alone! I did the virtual rollercoaster and that was too scary for me!!!
The lift up is a brilliant experience too.
We were planning on staying for cocktails after the swing but there were no seats at all so we left.
We were going to book the revolving restaurant for an evening meal but the negative reviews made us change our minds.
Great attraction though.

First of all, let’s be clear — this place is neither free nor cheap. If you’re okay with spending at least 20 euros, then it’s worth checking out. The entrance is 19 euros and the swing ticket costs around 7 euros, and drinks like a small beer or soda are about 4 euros.

The view is spectacular — you can see the canals, cruise ships, and the city skyline. However, the swing ride itself is very brief, lasting only 1–2 minutes. They do take photos during the ride and offer a free low-quality version or a high-quality one for 25 euros. If you want better memories without paying that price, bring someone to take photos for you.

Really fun trip to the A'DAM Lookout. Amazing views from the top and easy to get too. The free boat from the station takes you straight there. We booked the swing which was definitely scary but so much fun! It included access to the view deck, the top floor and the VR experience. You get a full 360 view from the top of the building, we had a glorious day. Had to wait for the lift up and down for around 10 minutes but on a hot Saturday in June I guess its expected! We had tickets booked in advance and did get straight up to explore! Really recommended!

This is a must see place visiting Amsterdam ‼️ Breathtaking scenery and experience will stay with you the rest of the day/night. If you book online (official site) the expenses would be the cheapest - 16,50€. While in other ways it starts from 18 to 24€. Enjoyed a ferry ride across from central station to get to this fun attraction. The experience starts as soon as you go up the first flight of stairs where there is an opportunity to have your photo taken. Then it is into the lift, which has a light show as you speed up. The views from the inside and outside observation decks are great, with free telescopes and lots of information about the building and it's history. We paid for the swing, which was a short but exhilarating experience! We had also paid for a burger and a drink with our entry ticket, burger was nice but nothing special. I would recommend getting a ticket in advance as the queues to buy on the day looked quite long.
