Thrudgelkin

One of his eyes ascended to become the sun, while his mind became the moon, and his brain would sometimes obscure in the form of clouds. His head encompassed the heavens themselves, and his breath the wind that blows through it. Lesser known are the other giant lineages, who claim their lineage from Ymir. The Svitkin giants of frost claim his sweat, as befitting a frost giant. The Magkin giants claim Ymir’s stomach, fitting their ravenous appetites. And then there are those born of his feet, the Thrudgelkin, named after the six-headed Thrudgelmir who was the first of his kind formed from Ymir’s flesh. To the giants’ eternal shame, the Thrudgelkin remind them all that they are creatures of flesh, blood, and savagery.

  • Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 1.
  • Age. Fomorkin begin their adventuring career at around 20 years of age and can live up to 100 years.
  • Alignment. Fomorkin tend toward chaotic and evil alignments.
  • Evil Eye. When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of your attacks with a magical gaze in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Charisma saving throw (DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failed save, the creature takes 1d10 psychic damage . On a successful save, it takes half as much damage. This damage increases by 1d10 when you reach 5th level (2d10), 11th level (3d10), and 17th level (4d10). You can use your Evil Eye a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
  • Fomorkin Training. You are proficient with the Perception and Stealth skills.
  • Giant Lineage. You are Thrudgelkin, born of Ymir’s feet. You have disadvantage on all Charisma-based checks involving giants of a higher rank.
  • Size. Fomorkin can grow as tall as 13’6”. Your size is Medium, but you can take the Growth Spurt feat twice.
  • Superior Darkvision. Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
