Writing Our Lives

My work is grounded in 1980s Bushwick, Brooklyn, a neglected Black and Brown neighborhood that I left when I was 13. I return to my home hood in my stories to make visible the invisible, & chronicle my life in the tradition of Esmeralda Santiago.
