Characters/Pairing: Katniss, Prim, Mrs. Everdeen, Peeta, Gale, etc.. Vague Katniss/Peeta and vague Katniss/Gale
Rating: PG-13 for violence and language
Word Count: ~14,500
Summary: An alternate reality version of the first Hunger Games book. Katniss volunteers in the Reaping, but they won't allow her to take Prim's place, leaving Prim and Peeta to go into the arena together, and thus Katniss watches everything happen from her home instead of participating in the Games herself.
