A WordPress plugin that displays the latest posts with thumbnails, excerpts, category names, publish dates in a responsive, draggable, touch-enabled carousel interface.
How to use it:
1. Download the plugin, unzip and upload the latest-posts-slider folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
2. Login to the WordPress admin panel and enable the plugin.
3. Insert the latest posts carousel into the WordPress via the shortcode [latest-posts-slider]
4. Specify the number of posts to fetch. Default: 10.
[latest-posts-slider limit=7]
5. Specify the category ID from which the plugin fetches the latest posts for the carousel. Default: all.
[latest-posts-slider category=10]
6. Determine whether or not to show the excerpts, category names, publish dates, and read more links.
[latest-posts-slider show_category_name=true show_date=false show_content=true show_read_more=true]
7. Determine whether or not to show the carousel controls.
[latest-posts-slider dots=false arrows=false]
8. Specify the post type. Great for custom post types. Default: post.
[latest-posts-slider post_type=post]
