To add a layer of vector regions to the globe you’ll first need to select what type of regions you want to display, in the ‘Regions’ tab of the globe. By default the Regions layer is disabled.
The plugin comes with some prebuilt region maps that can be used in the globe:
- Continents
- Countries (Different versions)
- Outline of the land masses
After selecting the Type of region, you should save your globe, so the preview updates.

Once you’ve selected the type of regions, you can click the ‘Add New Region Interactivity’ to add information to a region. You can also click a region on the map preview and on the right menu, select to add a region and it will automatically select the clicked region.

You’ll need to fill out the following fields:
- Title of the entry: can be whatever you want;
- Region code: select from the list of available regions, depending on the selected type of region. You can select more than one;
- Tooltip content: what will display when the user hovers the region;
- Action content: what content will display or URL that will open when the user clicks the region;
You should then save your region information. You can repeat this for each region you want to add interactivity to.
Colours can be set to the default or you can customize them. You can also set a click action for the regions.
