was failing on a 80mg backup getting mysql went awayunder advanced select Use wpdb to backup the database
seems to have fixed the mysql issue on godaddy

In reply to: [Clone] Can't log into admin after successful cloneI just ran into the same issue. but I can add to my situation. can’t login as admin, but could login as another user. but that user did not have admin access.
I think my problem has something to do with what version of wp I backed up and what version I am running on the clone site. soo as I finish clone and go to login it says database needs to be updated once I do that I can not get it.
????

do you know where wp stores info about the options in the post editor. it has to be telling it to not show any choice for comments somewhere. as it ticks them closed in db

In reply to: theme has comments off on selected postsits called eliteladders its a sports simulator site. the author is not to be found nor any info on it. its a complex theme. added a lot of stuff.
some how its not allowing comments to one type post. not a page.
if I change it in db it allows comment till you save it again.
