Hmmmm, maybe the original 2.4.2 install was corrupted? Can you try it again using this: https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/post-thumbnail-editor.2.4.2.zip ? There was only a couple lines changed between 2.4.1 and 2.4.2 and I don’t see anything that would be causing these problems.

Okay, maybe it isn’t a javascript issue then. If you’re using safari, can you open the web developer tools and go to the network tab after you load the PTE interface? (clear all the network calls so it will be easy to see the next call)
After you select the thumbnail to crop and the area, press the crop button, there should be a call made to the resize-images function (which is a function that changed in 2.4.2), see what the response from the server was. I’m guessing that there was a problem with the nonce. If that’s the case can you paste the URL of the call here and output?
Sure, but i guess it is a language problem. (in german) there is no dev tool with networks tab). Is there another way, prob… Firefox?

OK, it is a display problem. In FF i do see the crop changes in the preview. Only in safari i do not.
Alright, I’ll have to find a way to test with safari as apple doesn’t support their windows version of safari anymore. I’ll post back here when I know more.
I tested it. It is only the view mode of the previews. If i made in safari changes the preview in FF will change too. So thank you very much. I hope you will fix that. š
Are you using the crop-and-save setting, or do you crop then confirm?
