Wayby makes it easy to personalize your WordPress website for different visitors and run A/B tests – no coding required.

This plugin connects your WordPress site to Wayby with just one setting: your Website ID. Once activated, you can start creating personalizations and experiments right away from the Wayby dashboard.

How It Works

External Services

This plugin connects to the Wayby personalization service hosted at app.wayby.io.

What data is transmitted:

  • Your Website ID (configured in settings)
  • Page URL and visitor information for delivering personalizations
  • Anonymized, GDPR-compliant performance metrics about created personalizations

When data is transmitted:

  • On every front-end page load (to deliver personalizations)
  • When saving settings (to validate your Website ID)

Installation

  1. Upload the wayby folder to /wp-content/plugins/, or install directly from the WordPress plugin directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress
  3. Go to Settings > Wayby
  4. Enter your Website ID from your Wayby dashboard
  5. Click Save Changes – a green checkmark confirms your site is connected

FAQ

Do I need a Wayby account?

Yes. This plugin connects your WordPress site to the Wayby service. You need a Wayby account and a Website ID to use it. Visit wayby.io to create an account.

Where do I find my Website ID?

Log in to your Wayby dashboard and copy your Website ID from the site settings.

Does this plugin slow down my site?

No. The Wayby script is lightweight and loads asynchronously. A built-in page stabilization technique prevents any visible content flicker while personalizations are applied.

Is Wayby compatible with caching plugins?

Yes. Wayby personalizations are applied on the visitor’s browser, so they work correctly with all major caching plugins and CDNs.

Does Wayby use cookies?

No. Wayby does not use cookies for personalization. All performance tracking is anonymized and GDPR compliant.

Does it work with page builders?

Yes. Wayby works with content created by any page builder or the default WordPress block editor.

What happens if I deactivate the plugin?

Your site returns to its default state immediately. No personalizations will be shown, and no data is sent to Wayby. Your settings are preserved so you can reactivate at any time.
