WordPress and Carousel

There ise js library that Prototype UI. But I can’t add that application to my theme.
Let me tell you what I did.

After I added these code to my index.php file where I want to show

</div>
<div class="next_button"></div>
</div>Carousel part is static. It is not sliding or anything else. I just see those pictures. What is my mistake?
