Hi there,
I’m not clear about the issue. Could you please share a screenshot along with the exact webpage URL, so I can take a closer look? Thank you.

:( how do i take a screenshot of the keys not pressing? It’s just when I press Ctrl+Z to cancel last action it doesn’t work anymore.
neither does the top left cancel arrow in the ui.

Hi again,
I tried to replicate the issue, but it’s working fine on my end. Could you please check your shortcut settings in your keyboard or OS to confirm you’re not missing anything? Thank you.

ctrl+z is working completely fine on every other app or elsewhere on firefox. doesn’t work on chrome either

Hi hope you’re doing well,
Here are a few things to check to narrow this down:
Browser Extensions, Do you use any browser extensions like Grammarly, ad blockers, or third-party AI writing tools? Try opening the editor in an Incognito/Private window with all extensions disabled. Sometimes these extensions intercept keyboard shortcuts inside the Gutenberg editor.
Editor Focus, Sometimes the AI Assistant block steals the background focus. Try clicking completely outside of any text block (like the blank space on the side, or the Post Title) and pressing Ctrl+Z to see if the editor recognizes the command.
Safety Net (Revisions), While we figure out the Ctrl+Z bug, please remember you can still undo mistakes using the Revisions feature. In the right-hand sidebar under the “Post” tab, click on “Revisions” to roll back to a previously saved state so you don’t lose your work.
Could you let me know if it works in an Incognito window? If it doesn’t, we can look into seeing if a specific plugin or the site theme is clashing with the new AI tools.Do not hesitate to ask us or letting us know if you have any doubts, we are happy to help

incognito mode doesn’t change a thing unfortunately.
(the ai assistant really is useless and it should be disabled)
it does nothing on another browser as well
tried out of focus as well it does nothing
revisions is kinda useless when I want to do them while I edit not after saving

ok it seems to be Classic Editor, when blocks editor is selected it doesn’t work. when it’s classic it works. problem is with classic editor the editor sucks. i dunno what to do

Hi there,
Thanks for the additional details. This matches a known issue where the Real-Time Collaboration (RTC) feature in the block editor conflicts with certain plugins and breaks undo/redo.I’ve gone through the steps in this guide to disable the settings on your site, so CTRL+Z and the cancel button should be working again.
Our developers already have a fix in progress, so this is a temporary workaround until it’s deployed.
Let me know if that helps!
