Randomize feature allows you to randomize form fields order or display a subset of fields from a larger pool allowing you to create re-takable personality quizzes, varied daily check-ins, engaging practice tests and more.
- From the Pages main menu select the campaign you want and click on the Form page.
- From the Form Settings navigate to Randomize.
- By clicking the Enable field randomize will randomize all fields by default. You can specify a pool of fields that should be randomized.
- Next you can set the number of fields that should be displayed per randomization. Let’s say you’re building a quiz. You have a pool of 30 questions but you only want to pull 5 questions from that pool each time the quiz loads.
- You can also enable the Randomize field order to randomize the order for all form fields or select the fields that should have their field order randomized from the Randomize field pool setting.
By default, the Randomize field pool setting will contain all fields. This means all form fields on the form are eligible for randomization.
Depending on your settings that might mean that only a random subset of these fields will be displayed (e.g. you’ve set the Number of fields to display from pool lower than the total number of fields in the pool) or that the order the these fields will be randomized (e.g. you’ve enabled the Randomize field order option).
In many cases, you may not want to want to randomize all fields. If so, you have two additional options with the Randomize field pool setting.
- All fields except: This option will include all form fields except the selected fields in the pool of fields eligible for randomization.
- Specific fields: This option will only include the fields you specifically select in the pool of fields eligible for randomization.
Any field not included in the Randomize field pool is considered a static field. Static fields will not be randomized. This means they will always be displayed and the order in which they display on the form will not be altered.
Fields that are part of the Randomize field pool but are not randomly selected will not be displayed. If a Page or Section on the form does not contain any visible fields after randomization, it will be removed. Pages will be automatically restructured accordingly.
