[There was a very confused SeeD Commander wandering around the Garden. He read the letter he as given. Read it three times even. But it didn't make any sense at all. Things like TIME COMPRESSION wasn't supposed to happen any more. They'd dealt with Ultimecia already, didn't they?

Still he couldn't ignore his own two eyes. So he's wandering around, taking in the changes, marking what hasn't changed, the chatter of all these stranger SeeDs, staff, and cadets he didn't know and really should.]

[Rita was all sorts of intrigued by this place. It was like nothing she'd ever seen, heard, or read of before. She'd read of other planes before, but never into any detail. Everything was new to her, the technology especially.

It was a strange place to have been sent, though. Was it purposeful, for her to have been sent to a school? If she weren't so overwhelmingly curious and interested in learning more about this place and everything in it, she probably would have done more to find out Bahamut's intentions in sending her to Balamb Garden.

For the time being, she's wandering around the garden, reading the letter over and flipping through the course catalog. She was trying to make sense of the courses, mostly, but also trying to decide which to enroll in. She'd never been in a school before.

As for everyone else, well, there's a young girl with a sizable pair of platinum-scaled wings. Even her clothes stand out a bit: her dress looks like the sort of thing a young noble girl of older times might wear, complete with jewels and other such shiny things sewn into it.

What are you gonna do about her?]

[So. This red-head that strangely looks like Asch the Bloody is wandering around the Garden like an idiot and taking in his sights to see what this place has to offer. ... To be quite honest, he's not sure what he's doing here, what time compression is, what he's suppose to do here, and well. Where he is! He wants to ask around -- You know. To see if someone can direct him to the dorms and all. It's just the fact that everyone looks rather busy. He doesn't want to bother them.

[BBS, and Espio has been trying to learn how to cook. He's not doing too badly, considering he's never really bothered with cooking before, but he's not exactly doing it for a new hobby. He just wants to show he can do it. That, and for some stupid reason, he allowed Grell to somehow con him into preparing food for a wedding, and he's too stubborn to just admit he's never really cooked anything before.

It would help, however, if stupid things didn't randomly happen to his attempts.]

It was a perfectly serviceable and actually rather good curry up until the point where it ended up all over the floor, all up the walls, all over Espio, the appliances, and everything else in the immediate vicinity. He's trying to clean up, wincing from the burning, and muttering to himself.]

Who the hell even left that thing in the middle of the floor, anyway? I never saw it! What if someone got hurt? Ugh, and what a waste, it was such a pain getting hold of everything for this... now I gotta do it all over again. Great. I don't know why I even bother, something always happens. Every time.

Except this one is wearing a bodysuit and a silly skirt and kind of looks like he wants to kill something. What you may not guess is that this is out friend Dataku, with some... minor adjustments. After the events listed in this nice log, Data Riku is now a 'corrupted' version of himself; that is, he's more aggressive than normal, and he's a jerk of the caliber who will happily send your computer in to the techies five times in a row and require you to pay them 300,000 gil to fix a problem that will probably pop up in a few months anyway. (Bitter? Dataku-mun? Noooo.)]

how can you tell if somebody from your world is gonna show up? is it just if you've got a serious enemy?

and if there're gonna be this many bad guys showing up just to mess with us why couldn't they drag in more of our friends or something. cmon, seriously!! why not somebody we'd like to see for once?

[Monsters and villains everywhere... and Lea just doesn't know what to do about most of this. It's making it pretty tough to concentrate on his classwork, that's for sure.

And there's nothing he can do about it. He's barely up to occasionally summoning something. From what he's heard about the things that can do to your memory, fighting with nothing but that under his belt is going to end badly for everybody.

Well, maybe the people who can really fight will handle it. He's got to get stronger first. He's also very bad at patience. So he's just going to skip out on all that studying for the moment and head right for the Training Center to see just how much he can take on. The littler monsters are about the right size...

Looks like there are some bigger ones showing interest in the scuffle, though. He's holding his own for the moment, but somebody might want to give him a hand pretty soon.]

[The past few days have found Jackson hiding in his dorm. Wallowing in self pity is a party for one,y'know. He is getting a little paranoid. Someone had already found out his secret . What if it happens again? He can't risk the only chance he has of leading a life separate from Hyde.

Irate private messages between the two reveal something that greatly unsettles Jackson. Hyde doesn't care.This was the dumbest thing that the other had ever said to him. He had taken great care to not let any music reach his ears. That was is way of punishing Hyde.

But, finally Jackson dusts himself off and ventures out. Right now he can be found in the Art Room. He is sitting at a table, completely absorbed in his work. If you get a good look at his sketch you may notice it kind of looks like an older version of him. ]

[Mikuru has managed to source some Christmas decorations! Even though some of them are called something else in this world. So she's out and about around Garden hanging tinsel, fairy lights, baubles, paper snowflakes, the odd wreath, and other ornaments. And, you know, almost falling over a few times trying to hang something high and actually falling over a couple of times because she is carrying way too much and/or tripping over the tinsel and lights; go figure. Sorry if that stuff trips up other people...

[Also, at one point she got distracted and left a basket of mistletoe sprigs lying around. If you find it, do what you like with it; she's forgotten.]

[In the quad, Aladdin is peering quizzically at the translation necklace. On his shoulder his pet monkey Abu looks at it with him, making a disinterested noise.

Chances are most people won't be looking at the young man or the monkey though. That persian rug which is floating in the air beside him and somehow managing to look curious is much more attention-grabbing, after all.

Aladdin hasn't put on the device yet, so when he speaks it's in Arabic, not English]

[It was weird having a dorm to herself now. Nepeta couldn't say she particularly like it--she missed Ronnae a lot. While she had lived a pretty hermetic life out in the wild she had always at least had Pounce. Then there were the other trolls, and when she came here Ronnae had always been around. It surprised her how attached she had become to the other girl. So many of her friends seem to have disappeared lately. With Eridan's return, a pat of her hoped that the others would reappear soon as well, but for now she was finding an outlet in baking. Lots and lots of baking.

That's why she had set up a table right outside her dorm door to put treats out. There was no way she'd be able to eat all this by herself, so anyone who comes by is more than welcome to take some. The door to her dorm is open and she can be seen inside. The sleeves to her black shirt are rolled up---a shirt that does not bear her sign--and her hair, now reaching a little past her shoulders it messily piled atop her head with a clip.

The scent of all the various baked goods she is making spill out into the hallway. Come by to have a bite?]

This is really different. Eridan couldn't really believe what had happened. He was just freaking out over the dumbest thing ever that wasn't even affecting him, really, ~~pregnancy is so horrible...~~ and then... more space-time shenanigans. FUCK.

Haha, he wasn't supposed to be here. He has friends and not-family and quadrants back on the space station. Not in... this... school. Or whatever it was. He can't do this! But he knew that he'd have to deal, and he was going to deal one way or another, it seemed.

[The worst part about having all these off-worlder attacks? Was that Robin couldn't get a chance to go out there and fight alongside SeeD. He'd practically given up on going to class: he'd been here for over a year, he knew pretty much everything there was to know by now!

So instead, he's skipping class to ~~stalk~~ find potential recruits for the Disciplinary Committee. Although he might seem like he's lounging in the Quad with his comic books (steampunk pirates were so metaschway!!) or hanging out in an empty classroom, he's totally keeping an eye out for those who seem like they know what they're doing.

... That, and he really doesn't want to leave the Committee to freaking Impulse once he skips town. Desperate times are calling for desperate measures, and even though Robin hates to admit it, he needs all the help he can get.]

[Time Compression's been a total jerk lately. A lot of people have vanished and there are way too many people who've been left behind who now feel down because of this. At least that's how it seems to Serah. Instead of baking cookies or something, which has been done before, she's made a nice little sign that has "FREE HUGS" written on it in big letters. Where she got the idea from? Well... let's just say she got it from somewhere and leave it at that.]

[She's going to be walking around the entire school, approaching pretty much everyone she comes across. Now they might not always be happy to see her, but even if they don't want a hug she'll at least stop and talk with them, make sure they're okay.]

[Of course, seeing a blue individual is strange. Whats even stranger is when you realize that, yeah his hair is on fire. Or is his hair the flame itself? Who knows? But, Hyde doesn't seem to mind the flickering fire.There is a strut in his step as he waltzes down the dorm hallway. In fact, he is positively cheery! When he passes anybody , Hyde throws them a thumbs up or a wave. Quick loud greetings are uttered from his mouth, with a charming smile.

No, this is not a trick or joke! Seems like Balamb Garden is still plagued with weird events. The trees have green trunks and brown leaves, the flowers are singing seasonal songs, and Pinkie is on a trampoline with a large net. That last part is not so out of the ordinary, however.]

If I wasn't aware that my mental faculties were properly in place, I'd merely assume that I left my thinkpan at home.

Then again, it's not the first time I've been rudely kidnapped from my planet with the expectations that I'll fight to get it back again. Or at least, if I'm not getting it back, some facsimile of my nighttime planet will suffice.

My name is Rose Lalonde. If you'll kindly return me to my conversation with Dave, that would be pleasant. I'd been explaining something rather important, and time is of the essence when dealing with large weapons of mass destruction. If it's the case that you cannot return me home, a proper explanation of the time compression that was mentioned would be sufficient to quell my interest for the time being. I'm not sure what kind of people reside here, but I'm sure at least one person should have the information I desire.

Also...should you have news of one Jade Harley, John Egbert, or Dave Strider, that would also be appreciated. I need to speak with them immediately. I've been rather remiss in my discussions with my companions as of late, and I'll need to catch them up rather quickly if we're to get through this.

[Apparently, most people didn't come to the Parking Lot too much. Fortunately Dataku was not 'most people'. So inside the dimly-lit, awful smelling Parking Lot, you may find a silver-haired kid in a leather coat walking around. He occasionally rests a a hand on one of the objects -- a vehicle, say, or maybe a wall -- but never for long, and he always looks around in case someone catches him down here. He's not sure if the lot is available for cadets such as himself.]

[It definitely wasn't the datascape he was used to. As a matter of fact, it was very far from it. But somehow, even though he was data and the inner workings of the computer were something completely separate... being here was calming. He didn't really bring anything to do, but he didn't want to; Dataku was content to walk around and look at all of the vehicles the Garden used for transportation. By far the most abundant were the armored tank-like cars, which according to their name were restricted to use by SeeDs. But that wasn't the only thing in there, oh no, and he was totally interested in exploring it all.]

[Feel free to stop and stare. Because honestly, who spends their time in the parking lot?]
