- Fuel Calculator: For simulators that provide correct session length before start (R3E, ACC, PCars2,
AMS2), the fuel planner will be prefiled with session length + 2 contingency laps.
- Drivers Updated Per Tick: Added Drivers Updated Per Tick option in the settings window. This limits how
many drivers can be updated within one UI refresh (timing grid and map). Lowering this will reduce the cpu usage
of the app with bigger field. This will not affect data accuracy, as UI refresh is independent from data update.
- Pit Column: Reworked information displayed in the pit column.

https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/accdirector-v1-0-0-broadcast-client.57202/
- Track Unknown Sometimes (very rarely) ACC doesn't send proper track info at session start. If
you see an "unknown" track, start the session, the correct data should come eventually.
- ACC does not provide tyre wear in shared data.
- ACC does not provide real-time sector times in shared data, only after lap is completed. So the app uses
its own sectors and sectors timing. Might be adapted in the future, but no promises.
- ACC only offers one tyre temperature - core, so all tyres temperatures are core.
- ACC does not provide sectors with yellow flags.
- Ratings and Custom Championships support will be added in the near future.

- Gap Calculation: Fixed an error in pit gap calculation.
Version 6.3.0
Main Application:
- Timing Grid: Scroll to player is now disabled while mouse cursor is over the grid.
- Timing Grid: Scroll to player will now smoothly scroll to player instead of instantly jump.
- Timing Grid: Reworked lapped / lapping driver ordering in relative mode. Lapped drivers will appear in
front of player once their are less then 30% of the lap distance in front. They will stay they even if they move
outside of this range, up to 50% of lap distance. This should reduce lapped drivers blinking in and out
frequently.
- Gap Calculation: Improved gap calculations while driver in front is in pits.
Version 6.2.1
Main Application:
- Report Fix: Drivers finishing before player should no longer have one less lap counted.
- Rating: Deviation can now be set manually in the settings window. Deviation affects how many rating
points you gain/loss after a race. The bigger the deviation, the higher the points change.
Version 6.2.0
Main Application:
- Disabled tyre information update in pits: In practice and qualification sessions the tyre information
panel will not be updated while the player is in pits. This is to assist setup creation process as the player
will have the tyres conditions (pressures, temperatures) as they were when he entered the pits.
- Reworked Gap Calculations: Gap calculations are now more accurate and should fluctuate less. This should
make Gap visualization more usable (enabled in options).
- Gap Visualization: Gap visualization now shows time gap between groups. When lapping or being lapped,
only drivers next to the player will have gap visualized.
- Xlsx reports: Added gap information into the summary sheet. Added a new sheet with a chart showing tyre
degradation during the session.
- Estimated laps calculations improved: Improved the calculations algorithm of estimated remaining laps in
timed sessions.
- Championships: Added various championship templates from GT1, GT3, GT4 and TCR series.
Version 6.1.1

- Critical Fix for AMS: Application stoping to work for AMS resolved.
Version 6.1.0
Main Application:
- Added options in the settings to disable/enable the update of
Pedal and Gear Information, Temperature Information (coolant / oil temperature) and non temperature
information (i.e. turbo) pressures.
This is to save CPU resources in cases when these information is not required (i.e. VR)
-
Rating: Deviation locked to 50, as it didn't perform as expected at lower values.
-
Championship: Added championship templates (Formula 2, Formula 3, Formula 4, Imsa Current Series, Imsa
GT Championship)
Version 6.0.1
General:
- Refactored UI resources organization, drastically improving the UI responsiveness and reducing memory
consumption.
Main Application:
- The timning grid will update only when in-session. Allowing to exhamine the results/drivers timing after a
race.
Version 6.0 - Championships
Main Application:
- Championships module: Added championships module that allows you to run custom singleplayer
championships in most of the supported sims. Check the wiki for more information.
- Rating: Difficulty rating made transparent to user. This rating is used to determine the difficulty.
Version 5.10.2
Main Application:
- F1 2019: Added the ability to configure listening port for F1 2019. The setting is in the "Manage
Plugins" application. So Second Monitor can now be used alongside SimHub for F1 2019, using the SimHubs UDP
relay functionality.
- F1 2019 Fix: First Timed Lap in practice and qualification should now be properly recognized.
- AC Fix: Fixed random session restart on some tracks after first lap in race.
- General Fix: Fixed custom outline displayed on driver row even if custom outline was disabled for that
driver.
Version 5.10.1
Main Application:
- Critical Fix: Fixed remote connection not working.
Version 5.10.0
Main Application:
- F1 2019: Added initial support for F1 2019. To use, enable the the telemetry in F1 2019 settings (F1 2019
format). The application only works with the default port (20777).
- Known Issue - First Timed lap not recognized correctly: First timed lap in
practice/qualification might not be recognized correctly.
- Known Issue - Wrong Lap Times: Becaue the field in the F1 2019 upd telemetry holding the last
lap time is currently bugged (it reports 0 most of the time), the lap time is the last known lap time,
before the finish line was crossed. So it will be smaller roughly by the gap between telemtry packets.
While the laps times are incorrect, the relative times between lap times should be very close to the
real difference, and can be used reliably. Fastest laps time are correct.
- Known Issue - Missing Lap/Sector Times: The time spent "teleporting" (i.e moving out of pix
directly to hotlap), or in accelerated time, is not propagated via the F1 2019 UDP telemetry. Because of
this, the application does not know about laps that occured in this time. This does not affect race
session. This does not affect the fastest lap time presented for driver and session overall, as this is
this information is always available in the F1 2019 UDP Telemetry.
- Pit Information Reworked: Reworked the information shown in the "Pit" column during races, making it more
usefull for longer races with tyre changes. The information shown is situation dependant.
- No Pit Stop in the last 5 laps: If the driver has not made a pit stop in the last 5 laps, then
the total number of pit stops + the age of the tyres he is currently on is shown. The application
assumes that each pit stop is a tyre change.
- Pit Stop in the last 5 laps: If the driver has pitted in the last 5 laps, then the total pit time
of this stop is shown. If the player has stop aswell in the race, it will show the relative difference
between the players and the drivers pit stop. Negative means that the drivers pit stop was shorter (the
player has lost time.)
Also added coloring to the Pit Information Status:
- Green - You gained more than seconds againts this driver in the last pit stop.
- Red - You lost more than seconds againts this driver in the last pit stop.
Version 5.9.1
Main Application:
- Fix: Fixed critical issue when application would crash few moments after startup.
Version 5.9.0
Telemetry:
- Datapoint selection: Improved the ability to select datapoints. It is now possible to select regions on
map and scatterplots by pressing the Right Mouse Button + LShift for selection and Right Mouse Button + LAlt to
deselect. Shift + Right Click on histograms will toggle bar selection. Selected points are global, and all
charts will be affected by selection in other charts. Check the wiki for more
information.
- Fix AC: Fixed application not correctly capturing data from rear right wheel (stupid copy-paster error).
- Fix: Fixed Wheel Slip (Braking) not displaying any data when in "Single series for stint" mode.
Version 5.8.0
Main Application:
- Wheel Diameter: Added the ability to define wheel diameter in the car settings window. These values are
required for correct slip calculation by the telemetry viewer. Use the wizard, opened by clicking on the button
next to these values, to determine the wheel diameter. Check the wiki for
instructions.
Telemetry:
- Wheel Slip: The application is now able to calculate wheel slip. Correct wheel diameter is required for
these values to be correct. With the standard data track, two new scatterplots are added - Wheel Slip during
Acceleration and Wheel Slip during Braking
Version 5.7.0
Main Application:
- Track Records:The application now tracks player records for each track. Overall record, individual class
and individual vehicles records are stored. Clicking on the TR will open list of all track records for the given
sim. Clicking on the CR or VR will open all class/vehicle records for the current track (you need to be in
session for this). In the options it is possible to specify if you want to see overall records, or just records
recorded in the currently run session type (practice/race/qualy).
- Torque units: Torque units can now be selected in the settings window.
- Power units: Torque units can now be selected in the settings window.
Telemetry:
- Load/Unload all laps buttons added: These buttons allow to load or unload all laps, or laps for a
selected stint.
- Power Curve added: Added a new power curve scatterplot showing the relationship between power, torque and
rpm. This only works for R3E and PCars2, as these are the only sims providing engine torque output. Also keep in
mind, that only RPM present in the telemetry will be populated. For a full power circle some purposeful running
at lower RPM is necessary.
- Speed in turns histogram added: Added a new histogram showing the % time spent in each speed band while
turning (lateral acceleration is > 0.4), this helps you to analyze which turns are more prominent on the track
(high speed vs low speed), showing for which speed lateral grips should be maximized for gains.
- Traction Circle: Three new charts were added to the traction control chart - First is a the speed in
turns histogram, the others are the two scatterplots that show the relation between speed and
lateral/longitudinal acceleration. This is helpful to i.e. analyze turning performance in various speeds,
allowing you to examine how setup changes affect turning pefromance at different speeds.
Version 5.6.1
Main Application:
- Fix Assetto Corsa: Fixed an critical issue, where the application required administration rights to work
for AC, when the application was installed in the default forlder.
Version 5.6.0
Main Application:
- Rating: Added the possibility, in options, to set "rating reference", affecting where the rating module
would expect the player to finish (leading pack, midfield..etc). See the wiki
- Rating: Added the possibility to define the amount of "grace laps", during which rating will not be
affected by a restart.
- PCars 2: Some of the previously missed data - left/right/center tyre temperatures and right height, are
now filled from the UDP data provided by PCars 2. UDP protocol needs to be enabled in PCars 2.
Telemetry:
- Basic Histogram Filtering: Added basic data filtering for most histograms. Bands which contribute less
than 0.25% will be discarted. This will be replaced in later version with proper outlier removal.
- New Camber Histogram: Added a new histogram showing %time each wheel spents at the given camber. The 0
value of this histogram is choosable ideal camber angle.
- New Camber to Lateral G scatterplot: Added a new scatterplot showing the relationship between lateral G
and camber, for each wheel.
- New Tyre Load Charts: Added series of charts for tyre loads analysis. This includes tyre load histogram,
tyre load vs camber scatter plot, tyre load vs lateral acceleration scatter plot, tyre load vs longitudinal
acceleration scatter plot.
- Stints: Laps can now be organized into groups, called stints. Stint can be set next to the lap color in
the lap picker. New telemetry files will have the stints automatically filled so laps between pit entries belong
to the same stint. Stints can affect how aggregated charts present data. Histograms can be opened either
as now - one chart for all selected laps, or separate chart window for each stint. Scatterplots present data in
three ways - as now, all selected laps in a single chart, or separate window for each stint, or having a
separate series for each stint, combined in a single chart. The prefered presentation can be changed in the
third tab of the aggregated charts picker window. This setting is preserved.
- Suspension velocity histogram: It is now possible to define separate fast/slow boundary for bump and
rebound sepearately, and also separately for each wheel.
- Charts parameters persistance: Selected charts have persistent parameters between application runs.
These settings are tied to the Car being analyzed, so it is possible to define different paramters for different
cars. The two charts persisting parameters right now are Suspension Velocity Histogram and the new Camber
histogram
- R3E - Suspension velocity histogram: The defualt bump/rebound values for R3E cars are the same as used
by r3e under the hood. Big thanks to Alex Hodgkinson for providing these values.
Version 5.5.3
Main Application:
- R3E: Updated Data.json for the 10th of july updated.
Version 5.5.2
Main Application:
- Fix: Fixed possible connection error when using second monitor on separate computer.
Version 5.5.1
Telemetry:
- Chart Scaling Fix: Fixed DPI scaling for the reworked charts
Version 5.5.0
Telemetry:
- All Charts reworked to use the WinForms version of Oxyplot: All charts in telemetry viewer now use
WinForms version of OxyPlot. This version performs significantly better, especially with larger dataset. This
change has some drawbacks, that are result of using WinForms inside WPF. There is very little I can do with
these.
Loading of first lap takes longer, and causes a temporal significant memory consumption spike. Loading of
consecutive is instant. There are also quite a bit of graphical artifacting that occurs when scrolling or
selecting distance.
Version 5.4.0
Main Application:
- Rating Fix: Rating should be more robust in detecting erroneous session switches from telemetry.
- Fix: Drivers outlining settings will no longer get cleared when the application gets closed without
connecting to any simulator.
Telemetry:
- Reworked serialization: Serialization now uses protobuf-net. This should bring significant loading times
improvements (should be instant on most tracks). Old telemetry files will still work, and will be migrated to
the new format during first load.
Version 5.3.0
Main Application:
- Rating: Project Cars 2 is now supported.
- Rating: Volatiliy was removed from rating as it did not perform as intended.
- PCars 2: Added operating pressures and temperatures for all the classes. This information is based on
http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?57541-Project-CARS-2-Tyre-Temps.
- Tyre Operational ranges: It is now possible to define separate operating temperature and pressures for
front and rear tyres.
- Timing Grid: Timing grid will no longer be cleared when exiting session. This will decrease the load time
required when jumping into a new session.
- Fix: Fixes to the driver outline functionality.
Version 5.2.0
Main Application:
- Rating: Simulator rating decoupled from difficulty. There is now a separate, hidden, rating for
difficulty, that doesn't get updated on DNF. This is to prevent difficulty swings when the player crashes out,
as difficulty should really be based only on performance when the driver finishes.
- Rating: Added the ability to show all ratings, for all simulator in a single window (click the 'O' button
in rating view).
- Rating: From now on, the application will store race results. The history of races can be shown using the
'H' button in the rating view. Last 500 races for each simulator are stored.
- AC: Added ideal tyre pressures and temperatures for over 900cars. This information was extracted form
ProTyres ini & lut pack - https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/protyres-ini-lut-pack.18088/
- Fix R3E: The application will not show systems as damaged if damage is disabled.
Telemetry Viewer:
- Tyre Load Chart Added, currently filled for R3E
Version 5.1.2
Main Application:
- Asseto Corsa: Fixed dependecies loading for the plugin for Assetto Corsa, which made the plugin
inoperable for some users.
Version 5.1.1
Main Application:
- R3E: Updated data.json to contain the newly released FR90.
Version 5.1.0
Main Application:
- Rating: Added support for Automobilista.
- Rating: The application now remembers last played class for each sim, preselecting that class at
application/sim start.
- Rating: Race suggestion was disabled temporarily, something more robust is being implemented.
- New Feature - Tyre Life Monitoring : Added several colored lines for each tyre status control. This is
what they indicate
- Black Line - This is the estimated tyre condition at the end of the race. This is calculated every
30seconds, based on tyre wear in the last 4 minutes.
- Yellow Line - This line indicates the boundary of mild wear.
- Red Line - This line indicates the boundary of heavy wear.
- New Feature - Tyre Life Monitoring : Added tyres lifetime estimation. This number indicates how many laps
are left untill tyre becomes heavy worn. This is calculated every 30seconds, based on tyre wear in the last 4
minutes.
- Tyres Colors: Added 'Ultrasoft' compound. Changed color scheme to the F1 2018 season, as it looks like it
is the color scheme used by most sims.
Telemetry Viewer:
- Suspension Velocity Histogram: Separate color for fast and slow bumps/rebounds, with separate statistics
for each. The boundary between fast and slow can be set in the chart.
- RFactor2: Increased frequency of telemetry points for rFactor2 (previously it was possible to capture
only every 200ms), making telemetry more usefull for rFactor2.
Version 5.0.1
Main Application:
- Rating Fix: Fixed rating module not propably detecting start of second race, resulting in only one race
being rated.
- Rating Fix: Fixed an issue where AI drivers were sometimes not properly ordered for rating calculation,
resulted in incorrect AI rating.
Version 5.0.0 - Single Player Ratings
Main Application:
- Rating For SP: Added Rating module for single player races (similar to what you might see in IRacing).
Initially supported for R3E, RFactor2 and Assetto Corsa. Support for AMS and PCars 2 will come in next version.
This module tracks your rating for each class you drive, offering optimal difficulty based on your performance.
AI drivers have computed rating based on the selected difficulty and qualification times. Your performance
againts them during the race will determine your rating changes. Please see the tutorial to get you going :
https://gitlab.com/winzarten/SecondMonitor/wikis/Rating-Tutorial
- Pit Board: In races, after each completed lap, a pit board will open temporarily on the
bottom-left side of the application (over the tyres and pedals overview). The main information provided by the
board is the gap to the car ahead and behind, as well as the difference of these gaps between current an
previous lap. This information is color colored - green if you're catching the car ahead, or pulling from the
car behind. Red if the car ahead is pulling await, or the car behind is catching.
- Tyre Color Codes: The Pit column in timing grid now contains a colored ribbon, if a standard tyre
compound is equipped. For R3E and RFactor 2 this colored ribbon is also present for competing drivers, so you
can quickly see what compound is the field running. Other simulator do not expose this information. The standard
compounds are - suppersoft, soft, medium, hard, intermediate, wet, prime, option. The ribbon is using the
colors used in F1.
- Removed some textual effect (i.e. shadowing) on the main app, as they were too demanding on performance.
Version 4.11.0
Telemetry Viewer:
- Suspension Velocity Histogram: It is now possible to specify both the minimum and maximum velocity for
the histogram
- Lat/Long Acc Scatter plot Chart made symmetric, with the range automatically rounded to the next whole
number.
Version 4.10.0
Telemetry Viewer:
- Added Yaw Chart: Yaw is difference between the car orientation, and where the car is travelling. This
value is computed by the telemetry viewer, currently only works in R3E. Not filled in older telemetry files
- Suspension Velocity Histogram improved - The histogram has default range of -200 to 200mm/s. Points outside this
range will not be taken into calculation. This range in changeable in the chart.
Version 4.9.0
Telemetry Viewer:
-
Added Lateral vs Longitudinal Acceleration Chart
- Added Rear vs Front roll angle chart. Only works in R3E (the only simulator providing roll information),
and only with telemetry files caputred from this version.
- Starting the renaming process from Horizontal to Longitudinal :)
Version 4.8.0
Main App:
- The application now remembers the last window location and state, and will automatically open on that location
(no more dragging on application start :))
Telemetry Viewer:
- New Telemetry Chart - Rake: Added rake graph, showing the differnce between the average rear and average
fron ride height. Shown as distance, and not angle, because the application doesn't know the cars wheelbase
length.
- Rake / Speed scatter plot: Added scatter plot showing the relationsip between rake and speed.
Version 4.7.0
Main App:
- Tming Grid - Class color codes: Added a small colored band on the start of each row, representing the
class the car belongs to. This can be used to quick reference different classes in a multiclass race. This
indication is shown only in multiclass races
- Map View - Class color codes: Added a small circle above each driver with the color code of the class the
car belongs to (the same color as in timing grid). This indication is shown only in multiclass races.
Telemetry Viewer:
- New Aggregated Charts: Added new aggregated charts, focused mainly on ride height - ride height
histogram, ride height vs speed plot, ride height vs lateral acceleration plot, ride height vs horizontal
acceleration plot, ride height vs downforce plot.
- Histogram band selection: It is now possible to select bands on hinstogram using shift + left mouse
click. Selected bands will be shown on the track map. I suggest to disable sectors coloring for better
readability.
- Fix Suspension Velocity Histogram: Fixed issue with the average suspension speed calculation. Changing
the band size will no longer have an effect on the calculation.
- Suspension Velocity Histogram : Changed the placement of the bands, so 0 will be between bars, not in the
middle of 0 band.
Version 4.6.0
Main App:
- Removed performance cost of resorting the main timing grid. This should remove freezes that did occur roughly
every 10seconds, when the gird was resorted. This also allows to resort the grid on every update.
- Not unique names - The application has a limitation of requiring unique driver names, for the timing grid to
operate correctly. But until now it did not inform the user if this prerequsitie was violated. This can happen
mainly when running versus AI, when more opponents are selected, than the simulator has name for. Now, a message
will appear above the grid stating that such situation happened, and showing the number of unique names, and the
list of non-unique names. The check is done every 10 seconds.
- R3E Fix - Fixed multiclass support for R3E.
- Gap visualization (Experimental, disabled by defualt) - Timing grid can now visualize gaps between
drivers by increasing row spacing (up to a predefined height). Can be enabled, and configured, in the options.
Version 4.5.0 - Aggregated Charts for Telemetry Viewer
Main App:
- Telemetry Logging: Fixed inconsistencies in horizontal acceleration loging, where acceleration would be
logged as negative G.
- Telemetry Logging: The application will now also log invalid laps. This can be disabled in the options
menu. In rare cases where a sim repots two laps with the same number (can happen in outlaps in
practice/qualification), the older lap will get overwritten by the newer.
- Telemetry Logging: The application will no longer log datapoints when player is in pits. As outlaps are
now also logged, this change is to limit the size of outlaps made after the player sat in pits for several
minutes.
Telemetry Viewer
-
Aggregated charts: Added new kind of charts whitch take all datapoints from all selected laps (please
wait until the laps finished loading, before opening the charts), and project them in a way that should help car
behaviour analysis. The selector can be opened
using the button next to the "Add Lap" button.
Each new charts is opened in a new separated window and unlimited number of these charts can be opened, each
with different lap selection.
- Aggregated charts available: Suspension velocity histogram, RPM histogram, Horizontal Acceleration vs
Speed scatter plot, Horizontal Acceleration vs RPM scatter plot, Speed vs RPM scatter plot. More charts will
come in next version.
- Tracker Change: Tracker or chart will not display proper units, instead of X/Y
- Tracker Change: Changed the tracker color
- Colors:Lines in multiline charts (i.e. all Wheel Charts), will not have slighly different color for
better readability.
Version 4.4.0
Main App:
-
Added Fullscreen button: This button will toggle the window title bar off and on. Currently it is
placed in not so logical place, will most likely change in the future. :)
-
Camber is now visualized on the wheel status (wheels icons will be angled equally to the current camber).
- Fuel and Oil Temperatures are now colored
-
R3E: Optimal Brake and Tyres temperatures provided by the r3e shared memory are now used. Previously stored
values are automatically overriden.
-
Improved handling of Timed Sessions with extra lap in session remaining calculation (session info and fuel
prediction).
- R3E: Added the recently released cars to the r3eData.json (so they should no longer be unknown)
- Fix: Fixed relative gap to lapped/lapping cars.
Telemetry Viewer
-
Auto Refresh: Laps completed after the session was opened will be automatically added to the lap
list, without the need to manually re-open the session.
-
New Chart: Suspension Velocity chart added. The value is either from simulator shared telemetry, or
calculated from suspension travel for sims that only provide suspension travel information.
- New Chart: Turbo boost.
-
New Chart: Camber, available for R3E, RFactor2, Assetto Corsa. Angle units can now be found in the
settings (degrees, radians, milliradians).
-
New Chart: DownForce, either divided by rear - front (RFactor2 exposes these, but they don't look to
be filled) or overall (R3E). Force units can now be found in the settings (Newtons, pound - force)
Version 4.3.2 - R3E Shared Memory Update
The lates R3E release introduced quite a bit of new information into its shared memory (while breaking the
telemetry). This update adapts the existing functionality to the new Shared Memory model.
Main App:
- Steering information.
- Suspension damage.
- Turbo Boost Pressure.
Telemetry Viewer:
- Ride Height.
- Suspension travel.
Version 4.3.1
Fix: Fixed compatibility with telemetries exported with previous version
Version 4.3.0 - Damage Reporting
Main App:
-
New Feature: Added control lights dashboard. This dashboards informs about car damage and state of
various car systems (pitlimter, drs, kers/push to pass)..etc. Hover over icon to see what icon is
indicating. For detailed information, please visit the wiki. Note that not all sims provide all necessary
information, so some icons will not change state in some sims.
- New Feature: Detached/Deflated tyres will now flash red in the wheel status view.
- Lowered the height requiremets for the delta bars, increasing space available for timing grid.
Version 4.2.0
Main App:
-
Replaced the Water and Oil temperature gauges as they took space unproprtional to their information value.
They were replaced with a text fields in that area. Information about
boost pressure, coolant pressure,
oil pressure, fuel pressure
were also added. This space will be futher utilized in next versions.
Telemetry Viewer
-
New Feature: Single line charts can be switched to "delta with reference Lap". In this mode the chart
will show the difference in values between the lap and the reference lap. Reference lap is the lap picked in
the replay control.
- New Feature: Telemetry replay control can be pop-up to a separate window.
- New Feature: Map View control can be pop-up to a separate window.
-
Known Issue: The map view control will not properly pop-back once the pop-up window is closed.
Loading a new session will fix the map.
Version 4.1.0
Telemetry Viewer
-
New Feature: Added the option to combine another session with the currently opened session, for
viewing. The added session has to be on the same track/layout/simulator.
- New Feature: Added the option to load individual lap from disk (useful for sharing telemetry).
-
New Feature: Additional buttons added to the "open session dialog" - archive session, open session
folder, delete session.
Version 4.0.1
-
New Feature: It is now possible to change the way multiclass position is displayed in timing grid
(see options).
-
R3E Fix: Classes with the same performance index will now be handled as a single class by the
application.
Version 4.0.0 - Client - Server
-
New Feature - Client - Server: It is now possible to run Second Monitor from separate computer. See
the
Wiki
- R3E : Added id information for ADAC GT Masters 2018
- Fix: Fixed swap of "Car Name" and "Class Name" columns visbility settings
Version 3.0.3
-
Fuel Overview: Now uses the same session remaining algorithm as the "session remainig" control,
making the reaming fuel requirements more accurate.
-
Gap Information: Improved gap information columns. In Practice and Qualification the columns shows
the relative between best lap times, in race it shows gap in seconds, with one decimal place precision. If a
sim exposes Gap data (currently r3e, AMS, rFactor2), then those will be used. Changed font to bold to better
readability.
-
Changed colored background for drivers in pit. Drivers in pits, and stationary will have this color faded
out.
-
Added an option to specify location where the application should store its data (telemetry, maps, reports,
etc)
Telemetry Viewer
- Session overview now contains best lap for each sector.
- Sector times shown in lap picker.
- Graphs now have vertical lines showing where each sector ends (only when x axis is distance)
- Map can now be colored to show each sector.
Version 3.0.2
-
Critical Fix: Fixed application crashing/freezing when trying to create a new map without telemetry
logging enabled.
-
Improved logger performance, most obvious at race starts, where the application could previously freeze for
several seconds.
Version 3.0.1
- Disabled speed sanity check for lap invalidation, because it was very unreliable in the mp enviroment
Version 3.0.0
Telemetry Viewer
Initial version of telemetry viewer application is available. The second monitor application is now able to
capture telemetry data while it is in running. These data can then be analysed in the included Telemetry Viewer
Application
See the wiki for more information
Version 2.9.3
- Possible Fix: Windows 7 compatibility
Version 2.9.2
- Changed ChangeLog location to fix display issue
Version 2.9.1
-
Change: Timing grid can now be resized, both up and down. Not all of the other controls will, for now,
resize correctly, so they can get obscured by the resized timing grid.
-
Change: Reorganized bottom part, so less important information (pedal inputs + engine temperatures) get
obscured first
Version 2.9.0 - Basic multiclass support
Chamges:
- Added New "Class" column displaying the class of the car.
-
Position : If the race is multiclass, and the driver is not in the leading class, then the position within
the class is show, with the overall position in brackets.
Limitations :
- Best Lap/Sector times are, for now, still overall. Making them per-class will require extensive work.
-
Assetto Corsa: AC has no multiclass concept in telemetry. The "Class" column will not be populated, and
overall position will be shown at all times.
-
Automobilista: AMS way of reporting classes is weird. Reported class is in reality the manufacturer/team.
Because of this the position within class has no real value. So, while this information is shown, the
position will always, on purpose, display the overall position.
-
PCars 1: PCars 1 does not report car name, but only class name. This was previously shown in car name
column. It is now moved to the correct column, but car name is not filled.

Version 2.8.5
-
Fixed issue with the app requiring admin privileges, because it wanted erroneously create a directory in the
install path. This might cause loss of learned maps, because those are now correctly stored in
MyDocuments\SecondMonitor
Version 2.8.4
-
Steering Wheel Angle: In addition to pedal position, the application now also show current steering
wheel angle. As most sims do not provide the angle, but only a -1 to 1 steering range, it is necessary to
set the correct steering range in car options for the icon to correlate with you IRL wheel. The default
angle for each car is 540 degrees. Because R3E do not provide any steering information, this feature will
not work in R3E.
-

remaining time in sessions wtih given total laps.

- Track Map: Added the ability to rotate the track map.
- Track Map: Increased border around map (works only for newly created maps).
-
Track Map: Sectors should now change color based on status (best personal/session sector times, yellow
sectors). Yellow flags sadly do not work in assetto corsa yet, hopefully in next version it will be fixed.
- Fix: Always use circle option should now be perserved when application is closed.
- Fix Rfactor2: The application should now be better at detecting session restarts
- Fix PCars2: Snowing now correctly detected as precipitation
- Fix Assetto Cors: Previous lap time delta should now work correctly.
