I'm going crazy and I hate the sensation

I miss the glory and I can't forget the pride with which we walked to that big day in the big room with big people. I can't forget how John had already figured out two majors and a minor while playing lacrosse and keeping a long-distance girlfriend and plotting to streak the field at homecoming. I can't forget how Nanette was so brilliantly shining with life, so determined to go somewhere. And Robin, she was dedicated to her passions; no sacrifice too great, it seemed. Alex, she was a brilliant math queen who strove for biology and knitted her way through late nights. And I can't forget Prianka who wanted to grow up to be a medical humanitarian and could only rarely be extracted from her room and disconnected from her homework.
I wish I had been more like them. I wish I could be more like them. Maybe then I could be strong enough.
