Not even the tiniest bit of a life
I'm dreaming about sandblasting.
I've been informed that Sylvija (yet another place for the j) is on something of a glass working hiatus. Foo. It has been suggested that I should look at Pratt art school. I haven't. I doubt I will.
So a spent a rather large portion of the day looking up sandblasting online and I've found that there are a few basic options. I can try to build my own box which will involve a view panel, holes for annoying tubes, and a few other things. The things I can't avoid buying are sand (well, not really sand) and a pressurizer. I can deal with sand, basically, the pressurizer is... more expensive and more technically complex. I found this pretty nice one that would work for a dork hobbyist like me at $250. We'll see. Oh, right, don't tell anyone who will scold me. It's me and my choice. I know the basics, if I can't have a convenient teacher I'll teach myself. See? It's becoming a mantra.
I also ordered like 4 textbooks online (*giggle, giggle, giggle*) that should come in maybe a week. I wasn't paying attention to the type of shipping because it was free and thus didn't matter as I have no deadlines.
I can have JeriJo's cabin. Do you know how wonderful that is?
I'm trying to figure out how to fit a bed onto a dresser. Like the dresser in my room, which is nearly long enough (I haven't measured, but it looks it) and just a bit too skinny. I figure you could build a frame to essentially hold the bed on top of the dresser and then build a bit of support onto the back and ends so that the extra bed won't fall off the dresser unexpectedly. I could save so much space by just sitting around and thinking up crazy ways to save space... and then building it, or making someone else build it, there's always that.
Have you heard that I get JeriJo's cabin?
Also, another thing I keep thinking about continually is designs for sand blasting. I can't help it because by now I'm obsessed. Do you think I could make a box out of an old cooler? OH! I should totally go to some garage sales and gather useless crap that I could turn into entertaining bits of useful crap. Or, well, semi-useful.
