Wii

I am covered in a strange sense of urgent loneliness
I need to sleep, but can't bring myself to stop being awake
I like this dream where everything works out to a positive conclusion
And I'm bloody lost in my useless, meandering, empty life

Today I went onto campus and saw Liam, with whom I had a couple lovely, easy conversations. Then Matthew got off work and we zipped through the academic fair getting syllabuses (that should really pluralize as "syllabi") and giving sketchy hellos to various faculty. My short conversation with Andy gave me the impression that he is trying to reel me into his scientific orbit while still carefully avoiding applying any kind of pressure to what he can only perceive as my fragile shell of balance. He was fairly endearing. Also, he lit up my brain with science thoughts, which hasn't happened to my brain for awhile.

Other than that
I felt a sense of purpose today
And it was beautiful to feel such again,
I had a fleeting fantasy of hope and competence;
And I hate that this slide into evening degrades all the pleasant activities of the day
