I Am Exhausted

Totally, incoherently, exhausted and absolutely satisfied by it. Seven hours of lab, time spent making dinner and watching the baby (no stress, he was just sleeping), and a shower are what I have done today. My legs hurt from standing up so goddamn much and my back hurts for similar reasons. We had the great joy of a "pop"-turn-in-your-lab-notebook at the end of O-chem, which was not at all joyful and lacked any sense of "pop" because the rumors got around before we got to lab. Vicious true-rumors, which were coined trumors by Paula because she had waaaaaaaaaay too much energy. Stupid professors who don't have to stress all through lab days.

I made stuffed peppers for dinner, to which was added fried potato things that were quite tasty. It was a good dinner and I am full and happy.

Oh, so my brother's dog, Olivia, ate most of a 75% chocolate candy bar thing last night and was throwing up and having convulsions and doing the wobble thing that cats do when they've gotten into the antifreeze. Now, try to imagine taking care of this very ill dog while simultaneously caring for a 6-day-old baby. That's a fun ride to hell. They took her to the pet hospital at about 2am and she spent the day on beta-blockers (because her heart rate was up around 230bpm), valium, phenobarbital, and IV fluids. This was a surrealy expensive 14ish hours, but Olivia is alive and much much better now.

It's time for me to get some sleep (god I'm tired), so goodnight everyone.
