Just what I was thinking

I was just reading the endocrinology chapter in my textbook. I can't believe how super-boring it is. I think it might have something to do with all the goddamn abbreviations and my current sleepy inability to keep them straight.

Anyway, I got through a section on progestins and androgins and some comment about how testosterone levels during pregnancy influence the development of the posterior hypophysis (pituitary gland) which in turn influence the expression of sexual characteristics throughout a person's life. Then I remembered a thing, I think I read it, but I might have been told by someone:

Homophobes that say homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to adopt children on the basis that the children will be raised gay are blind. I'm sure that some day they will realize that heterosexuals are doing a great job of raising straight children.

Yeah, I'm thinking that testosterone levels during pregnancy might have an impact on sexual orientation. I also heard somewhere that high levels of testosterone are being linked to having autistic children (and the whole array of diagnoses that are just below autism in severity).
