tired-must-sleep-now
I just spent too much time typing up comments on everyone's lj. Posts in nd of themselves.
I spent all day (9-8:15) at school. While I am proud of myself for both having to do that and managing to survive it, I'm tiiiiiired. Anatomy and Physiology became much better because of Lab today. Instead of listening to him ramble about basic biochemistry (which I did beforehand), we got to learn about the body. FUN! It's all latin and crazy old scientists' names! It's all real, right there behind my eyes.
Matcha got fixed yesterday. She had funny lumps in her mammaries so they took one out and I said they could send it to oncology-type lab stuff (it's expensive!). She was really happy to see me this morning, but then I had to go to school. She was also really happy to see me this evening, but she's tired and I'm tired and it was a short enthusiastic greeting.
I get to "challenge" the Chem class for a grade in order to be reasonably ranked to enter the nursing program. AP Chem got me 15 credits straight off, but they're P's, which translate to C's, which is crappy in a competitive program. I have this lovely angel, Dean of admissions, I think. And she really likes me and has taken me under her wing and all that good stuff, so I'm really just gliding along as she greases my way through the system. It's really, really, really, REALLY nice. So I have to take this chem final for a class I didn't take... this is going to be interesting. Also, I have to re-sell the book that is now in the mail coming to me. I'll probably sell it on campus or summat. I found out tonight that there's a text for my HR class (a prereq for nursing, but it's not too bad thus far, a bit like driver's ed). I think I have to go to the bookstore and gaffle a copy... or not, it's a once-a-week class, maybe I'll just try to get it online.
I ran out of money today. My checking account has less than a dollar and my savings has ten dollars. At least I was paying enough attention (and have been for awhile, go me) to keep from over-drawing. The vet's office was really cool about it, though. I still owe them $191, but I payed 160 (thus the empty bank account), so they aren't too worried about it all. That thing that they took out of Matcha was nasty-looking thought. Really nasty-looking. She has sutures, too, that need to be taken out in a couple weeks.
I should go get a job at Tutor.com
Then this massive expenditure of money won't seem quite so... unfair? I'm absurdly guilty about having a college fund while many of my friends don't.
