Kaiba was horrified to learn he had truly lost, to some nobody that challenged him for ripping apart his grandfather’s prized card.

A side-note, I planned this one-shot over a month ago considering today is Kaiba's birthday. I mean I did do a birthday one-shot for Yugi two years ago so I thought I'd give this another try.

Summary: A trainer tests her patience to catch the ever-crafty Feebas.

Feebas are elusive little fish of the Pokemon World. Some may think it's not worth training such a creature but others prefer to catch it because of its evolution, Milotic. It's like the story of the ugly duckling that grew up as a beautiful swan. Feebas evolve into the gorgeous Milotic and gains better attacks and stats.

Lina sighed to herself as she surfed on her Gyarados along the waters of Route 119. She heard stories about how Feebas lived in this vicinity from other trainers and she was pretty eager to catch one. So far, luck had not been on her side after the past hour of fishing.

Her arms grew tired from holding the Good Rod and her patience was wearing thin. The only Pokemon she was able to find were Tentacool, Carvanha and Magikarp. Just how irritating could it get?

"At this rate it'll be nightfall before I even find a Feebas." Lina muttered. She gripped the rod tighter and motioned Gyarados to move on to the next spot.

She repeated this manner every time she failed to find a Feebas. It was the only method trainers used and Lina had to set aside this time from training to do this. Why did she even bother? Lina had her own Water pokemon, Gyarados, that she raised as a Magikarp. The Gyarados was already at a high level along with the rest of her team she used against the Elite Four and Champion Wallace.

"Man, what was it that made me want to go and catch this blasted fish?" Lina laid the rod aside and leaned back on her Surfing pokemon. Her thoughts drifted to the time she browsed through her Pokedex and found the entry about Milotic. Obviously she hadn't obtained any data on it but its alluring beauty enthralled her.

The water flowed gently against Gyarados as she took out her Pokedex from her backpack. She scanned each entry and located Feebas. Blinking at the empty entry, Lina examined the pokemon and eventually clicked the Area tab of its current location, Route 119.

She slammed the Pokedex shut and put it away. This was no time to rest, she had a goal to accomplish and she wasn't going to give up.

Lina flung the hook as far as she could and waited. A weak tug alerted her that she caught something and she immediately set out to reel it in. Seconds passed as a flash of brown scales gleamed in her eyes.

"Finally!" Lina grabbed one of her Pokeballs and called out her Ninetales. "Use Confuse Ray!"

The Fox pokemon obeyed her orders and a glare of black rays shot towards the Feebas. It looked dazed but managed to Splash about the water. Lina had hoped it would hurt itself, though decided to use another move.

"Will-o-Wisp!"

Ninetales spouted bluish-white flames from her snout as it burned Feebas. Once again it fought back with a feeble Splash. It still received HP loss from the attack.

Quickly, Lina pulled out a Great Ball and tossed it at Feebas. A red light sucked it in and landed on Gyarados' back. The Great Ball shifted until the light died down.

"All right!" Lina cheered happily. The Great Ball disappeared as it was sent directly to Lanette's PC. Recalling back her Ninetales, Lina sat back down and took out the Good Rod once more.

Gyarados turned her head at her trainer with a puzzled look.

"Hey, one is not enough! I don't want to come back just to go through the trouble of finding Feebas again." Lina said. "Besides a trainer's life is not that simple and I'm glad I got my catch of the day."

After three long years of not finding Feebas, I finally caught it today! It took about an hour or so to fish through each tile but eventually the patience paid off.

I kind of didn't want to make it seem like a boring entry so I spiced it up as a fanfic. BTW, the name Lina is the same name I use for the games.

EDIT: Yes, Feebas evolved! A few Chesto, Kelpsy and Hondew berries did the trick along with the Rash nature of the Feebas.

In Janime City, it was a peaceful haven for its residents until that one day... Just a normal, average citizen I was, chatting with my neighbors when I discovered something suspicious was happening. It all began when I noticed Bakageta Koto had switched to using a Kaiba set in which caused me to think she was Geno. Of course, at that time Geno had also changed to a new set featuring Ishida, and that was when my suspicions got me into deeper trouble.

BK had revealed to me it was all part of Phase One to her Evil Plans. I tried to warn Janime citizens, but none had heeded my warnings. It grew quiet for awhile so I thought maybe nothing terrible was at work. Then I was wrong.

I continued my warnings of a conspiracy and that got me into real trouble with BK. Luckily one person named Sanji had heard BK of her plans, but BK quickly denied it. Unfortunately she sent her Killer-Attack Butterflies in an attempt to silence me. BK was very pleased to see that her butterflies were approaching me as her laughter tormented me.

I knew I had to think fast before my fate was handed to me. That was when an idea had hit me. Of course! Fire! Seeing that BK was shocked to hear that I found out her butterflies' weakness, who was also choking on chocolate that Sanji gave her when BK didn't give her an answer of her Evil Plans.

I took out my flamethrower and destroyed the butterflies before it was too late. I also mentally thanked Geno for her assistance in temporarily stopping BK.

Once it was all over, calm had returned to Janime City. BK had given up her Evil Plans and then took her leave. I overlooked Janime City, thinking that this wasn't the last time we haven't seen BK. When the time comes if she does return, I will be there to stop her along with Geno who came up with her brilliant ultimate weapon to defeat BK.

So what's all this? Well, this all started today in Random Facts and somehow wound up in the situation I based this short story on. It was quite entertaining so I thought, hey, instead of making a boring entry I'll make it into a story!
