Yes, I did a friends cut. I can't even explain my logic behind my methods for making the cut. None of the cuts were done because of any hard feelings, at all, and I hope that it won't cause any, either.

I wish all of you that I've chosen not to keep in touch with the best of luck in the new year. If you think I've removed you by mistake (or if you haven't been around, but plan to be around a lot more this year, or something of the sort), feel free to let me know (comments are screened).

Even the 76 people on my flist now feels like a lot, but I'm going to give this LJ thing another try with this crowd. As always, you can remove me, with or without explanation. I'll probably just assume it's because I post rarely or I only post about dogs anymore.

Cleaned up my flist a bit because it was becoming a fucking beast and not inspiring me to come round these parts very often.

I didn't intend to remove anyone, just communities and feeds, so if I accidentally defriended you (I'm really fucking tired and I was clicking a lot of buttons) let me know.

I just did a friends cut. Maybe not the most cheery way to start the New Year, but one of my resolutions is to keep in better touch with my friends, including my flist, and I've resolved this before without any luck - because my friendslist is just too large for me to handle. I would also appreciate it if anyone who has been wanting to defriend me went ahead and did so, even if I haven't removed you. It's the New Year, and I want to know who my friends are. There would be no hard feelings, I promise.

So, if I honestly cannot or had significant trouble remembering the last time we had a good conversation via our livejournals (this may be because a. we've never really had a conversation via our LJs, even a small one, b. it's been so long since it happened that I can't even remember when it was, or c. we've only ever talked about unimportant things, like TV shows), you probably got cut.

None of this is personal, and please don't take it that way. If you feel that I've removed you by mistake (i.e. we've talked via LJ pretty recently and/or we had a great conversation last time and you can't believe I would forget about it), feel free to send me a PM or leave me a (screened) comment on this post.

Exceptions & Stuff:
- If we are relatively new friends or I still feel like we're getting to know each other, you were not cut.
- If I removed one of your journals but not the other - it's just because I've never seen you post with that journal. You can remove me with that one but I'd still like to be friends via the journal you use, if that's alright with you.
- If we keep in touch via IM or Twitter, even if we only talk on random sporadic days (like after SPN has aired), you were not cut.
- If I still keep up with you and make a point to read all of your entries, whether or not either of us is good at commenting, you were not cut.
- I did cut some people who share a mutual community with me this time, who used to share an awesome community with me, and even a few people that I knew IRL. For people that I knew IRL, if you think there is a real chance that we might keep in touch, let me know - I'm not opposed to the idea, but I think it's possible that we may not have much in common anymore.
