Wikimedia Belgium vzw (WMBE) is a Belgian non-profit association based in Brussels. It is a national association recognised by the Wikimedia Foundation and represents the Belgian Wikimedia community. Wikimedia Belgium was founded on 27 September 2014 as a Wikimedia chapter by active Wikipedians from the French-language and Dutch-language Wikipedia in Belgium.
The organisation promotes the collection, creation, organisation, and the dissemination of free content, specifically for Wikipedia and its sister projects. WMBE supports the Wikipedia volunteers and sister projects, and helps organisations and institutions to share their knowledge on the Wikimedia platforms.
