Biology report hath ate up all my free time, I'm going to miss tomorrows Talk like a Pirate day festivities at the uni because I'm going to be too busy trying to finish it.

In other news hair did not turn out as planned, it ended up being far less red than I wanted. At the moment my hair is looking copper brown, which is still different but not the stand out red/purple that I had shown to the hairdresser and was expecting.

I managed to burn myself twice yesterday in my chem lab, first I unknowingly set something down on an uneven surface and it spilt on me and as it contained some very strong acids I spent 10 mins with my hand under running water putting detergent on my hand so that the alkali in it would help neutralise the acid, needless to say it hurt.

Then I was putting some thing on a steam bath in the fume hoods and as the hood had been up for a while it started to beep so someone, without checking, grabbed the hood and rolled it down forcing my arm onto the top of the steam bath. I screamed, which made them let go and now I've got a horrible red mark on my right arm from it.

Uni has been insane this week mostly because I've had 3 hour biology, chemistry and physics labs three days in a row as opposed to what my normal timetable will be when I get a days brake after the first two lab days.

I've recently been trying to be more active in this journal because I've felt bad for having a journal and neglecting to use it, but I think until my timetable smoothes out the week after next I'm probably not going to be around much.

Actually made it out to lunch with boyfriend today! We didn't go anywhere fancy but it was really nice.

Afterwards we went to the shops and wandered around for a while. I went to JB HIFI and got a DS Lite with a free game (nintendogs) and I bough Final Fantasy III, but I didn't get the free case and cable I was supposed to get, so later in the evening I went back to see why and apparently they were just trying to get rid of old stock and because the store I went to had only just opened they didn't have any to give away.

So I went to the other JB's in the area and got my free things there, and while I was waiting for one of the sales people to fix the receipt, the person from games who'd come to help said that all their specials are the same as they all come from headquarters in Melbourne. So I complained about how I'd bought angel boxsets 1-4 at the other JB's and then came the the JB's I was at to try and get the 5th because it was sold out elsewhere however they said that specials differed from store to store, because that wasn't true and I'd been lied to by the staff so they didn't have to give me the discount I ended up with the last season of angel for half price even though it had gone off special.

Just woke up to find that the post had been and that the season 1 boxset of Kenshin I ordered has arrived, Yay!

However that yay is balanced by things that are very not yay. Mostly my registration for uni courses, on top of the fact that I've had to perform timetable acrobatics, 3 of my 4 courses are saying that I can't register for them online but don't say when or how I'm supposed to register for them.

I'm sure that it'll all work itself out eventually but it's still really frustrating to not know when registrations are happening because I have a very specific set of times I need and I know that if I don't get in early I won't get them, so I'm going to have to constantly be checking my student-mail and the uni site instead of just enjoying the semester break.

Yesterday I went out for lunch and shopping with Steph to celebrate her 20th birthday.

We hadn't seen each other for a while cause we'd both been busy with Uni exams, but it was really great to catch up. I'd got her season 1 of Coupling as a present and she was thrilled which made me very happy. I also bought her a cake while we were out because everyone but her in her family is sick and so she was having to make dinner and wasn't going to have cake on her birthday.

While we were shopping I got the first 4 seasons of Angel cause they were on sale. I also got the newest Ross Noble DVD and stayed up late watching it with my sister, it was hilarious.

Wow it's been ages since I posted, my life last year went insane (mostly due to Uni).

I'm no longer doing diagnostic radiography for many reasons the major ones being how mind numbing doing chest x-ray after chest x-ray is and all the pervy old men who would decided to try and cop a feel.

So this year I've changed to Science, I'm not sure what I'm majoring in (probably physics but it could be chem or bio as well) and thus I haven't a clue what work (if any) this shall lead to, other than 'being a scientist'. The fact that I now own a lab coat does manage to make me feel special though.

Tomorrow night (or tonight as I've now noticed it's past midnight) I'm going to the uni's O-ball which is a 007 theme, so hopefully that will be a good time. Photos of me in my costume may or may not occur depending on if I managed to get drunk enough to think posting pictures of myself in fancy dress are a good idea (or if I just wanna post pictures).

I also have tickets to see Augie March in March which is very exciting!

Over the past few weeks many different anime's hath ate my brain. This means in the past weeks I've heard more spoken Japanese than spoken English....and I haven't done any real amount of study for uni.

I should feel bad about this, but since I've already had the majority of my assessments and done well, I suppose it's not really that much of an issue.

The past two weeks I've also been undergoing TB testing, this means that I haven't been able to take my anti-histamines and am one very sore and itchy bunny.

My clinical placement has been decided and so from 29th May to 9th June I shall be going to Port Macquarie, living alone for the first time and hopefully not damaging anyone with my rather pathetic X-raying skills.

I'm tired.

Uni hath chewed me up and spat me back out again. My timetable is constantly changing and even the lecturers don't have a clue what's going on, it's really annoying when you've got a lecture and where the lecturer doesn't show up cause they didn't know that it was on. My online registrations were a nightmare due to stupid people registering for every lecture and tute instead of just the ones they needed. Other than that I'm finding it fun especially my labs, yay X-ray machines!

I got the book in my hot little handies at 11:20 and finished at 4:37....eeeee!

Well...yeah, I won't actually say anything except I enjoyed this book far more than I enjoyed the last one....and that I'm annoyed that most forums are closed and I've got nobody to talk to

In other news today I went out looking for a formal dress and I think I've found the perfect one. After spending ages at Shazzams trying on many dresses that while nice just weren't what I wanted I went in town to 'Pretty and Twisted' a goth clothing shop and in the window was a utterly beautiful corset and skirt combo.

It looks very victorian/edwardian and it's near perfectly my size...it's a bit long in the skirt cause I'm hopelessly short. I'm also quiet proud of the fact that I didn't find the corset at all uncomfortable (possibly something to do with it having fiberglass instead of steel boning) even when it was laced as tight as it would go...however when it was laced that tight it made the top half of me look rather weird, so I'm going to have to lace it lose for the bust and 'help your crushing my ribs' everywhere else....

...I'll be quiet now and stop corset gushing

It's just that I've wanted one for years and this is so very exciting! Yay!
