WhoCrashed is a software program designed by Resplendence Software Projects that provides in-depth analysis and reports of system failures, such as blue and black screen error or any other crashes.

The installation process is extremely simple and takes under one minute. Next, the interface is minimalistic and very friendly to novice users but it lacks customization options.

In order to utilize the program, all you need to do is press the "Analyze" button. Then, the software searches through crash dump directory, analyzes the found items and it offers detailed information about the possible causes of the problem and the found errors.
More, it provides user assistance by suggesting how to locate and fix the found issue.

An important feature is the "Crash Dump Test" which allows you to make your system crash so that you can check if it's able to write dump files. Still, by doing this, you expose your computer and you can lose important data, so it should be used by those who possess some experience in this area.

In conclusion, WhoCrashed is a useful tool, one that is simple to start but which requires some technical experience in order to understand the failure logs and therefore eliminate the found issues.
Besides this, I consider the price to be a little too big in comparison to what it delivers.

Pros

  • Fast installation process
  • Offers user assistance
  • Has a "Crash Dump Test" feature
  • Provides in-depth analysis

Cons

  • Theme customization is inexistent
  • Seems overpriced

Very impressed - allowed me to understand crashes were being caused by Norton Internet Security. These crashes had invalidated by system drive which was mirrored under Intel's Rapid Storage Technology and it did not react well to Windows crashes. Removed NIS and reinstalled. Problem fixed. Saved me days of work reinstalling Windows and all my applications.
