Moichendisin'

Went shoppin' yesterday--finally purchased <strike>Gyakuten Kenji</strike> Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth (still can't get used to that title ._.) AND Bayonetta. *0* I had lots of fun <strike>breakdancing</strike> I mean I mean um killing angels in Bayonetta and am currently investigatin' stuff as Edgey. But I also went into Kinokuniya yesterday and in the children's section found... Professor Layton novels! Which of course I had known about but didn't realise were quite so very long ;0; so of course I didn't get them, no way I can read that stuff... though I did enjoy looking at them, I really like the way the covers look and stuff. Very classy. There were two different hardcovers, one blue and one red.

Just as I was going to leave, though, I spotted another PL book! Oh Professor Layton, you are stealing all the money Yu-Gi-Oh never managed to drag outta me on account of having much classier merchandise :x aggh. In other words, I gave in and bought more PL stuff. e_e

what do you mean this isn't what webcams are for

It's a really cute little booklet that covers the plots of all the games and the movie, along with lots of character profiles and really really nice screenshots because they are nice quality straight from the vids rather than from the games. :3 Awesome!

... Mostly I bought it because it came with stickers, though. Ahahaha! Heh. Um.

The back cover! Zoomed in, though. It's gold with a little Luke & Layton pic. I love that they're both winking, ahn~

STICKERS YES. I especially like the one where Layton is drinking tea, and also the one that I somehow didn't get in this picture because I can't hold things still to save my life but anyway it featured the parrot sitting on Layton's hat, also at first glance I thought it was pooping? But that is because I am stupid.

Stickers are adorable, only way they could have been better:

1: Included all the Lukes (that is to say, past present AND future instead of just past & present--<strike>ManLuke</strike> Legal had puz-answer-screen pictures, too!
2: Included the "WRONG" puz-answer-screen pics as those are way more useful to stick on stuff
3: WHERE IS MY DON PAOLO

Perhaps I stall stick some Layton hats on my new headphones? Because my new ones are nowhere near as adorable as my toonlink ones so I feel obliged to make them cute, somehow...

Which would certainly make it simpler than what I was considering before, which was to separate the images on the earpieces: Layton on the left and Ruku on the right. Or was it Reiton on the right and Luke on the left? Agh, stupid Japanese and its interchangeable L and R sound!!

Luke as a boy! A fat, fat little boy! I want to roll him down a hill

<strike>AROMA</strike> FLORA♥! I like how they included the ♥ everywhere, because that is exactly how I decorate all my pictures of her, too. :3 She is part of the ♥Layton Girls♥ section so she gets a double-page spread all to herself, as do Claire and Remi. Ah, those lucky girls! Most of the other characters don't get as much room. Legal managed to snag a whole page to himself, but poor Don Paolo only gets 2/3 of a page! Descole is limited to a measly 1/3 of a page, even. Those girls take up so much room!

... Not that I can really complain though, since the super-large pics of all the girls has revealed the curious fact that Claire has a red nose. All the time, man. The high-def screenshots show that this is how it has always been in all the fmvs. I'm a little curious as to why that is, and also what's the point if it's not noticeable? I shall cue up those vids later and search for her big red nose every time she's on screen.

And perhaps inevitably play the end of PL3 again and b'awwww ;0;

Although about 2/3 of the book is in color, the last part is b&w. That's where the first three games are discussed, there's some interviews with the seiyuus and also misc. short character profiles + extra production art kinda things. Also, this height lineup! Ahhh look how short Schraeder is, is that adorable or what~~~ Also look how tall Descole is, man oh man

May scan this thing properly when I have time.

Also, here's some shots of my furufuru heads, and also my swank Layton DS case.

I love the way these two look~

Here they are with my Luke plush, for size

My super-chill new DS case is a classy dark brown with Layton & Luke embossed in the bottom corner *0* Doesn't photograph well, unfortunately, but looks really nice in real life.

Layton's signature silk hat on the back!

Adorable zipper-pulls, I want them on everything I own @_@

Finally, 12 Lukes I done drew

Assorted Lukes of assorted sizes on some bristol paper in pen & marker. Doodled them to sell at a convention a while back, here are the ones that didn't sell (aka most of them. Haha! Did sell a handful, though).

The color and blurriness do not do them justice. They were like 2$ each :>

Ok, back to investigating, ace prosecutor-style! Whoohoo, &c!

I've been waiting for my roommate to come back from the hospital for days now! Where is she? Saturday before last she said she'd be back Monday, or at least the Monday after that. Monday and Monday have come and gone already. Latest return date was today... it's nearly 10pm already! It's so quiet and lonely here... and I haven't left my room all day because I'm expecting her back. I'm worried... :|

In other news: ugh I think I dropped my mouse way too many times it's really really glitching up all the time now, this is super-duper frustrating.

EDIT: though on the other hand I can read doujinshi in peace or something, ufufu

EDIT EDIT: She finally came back! the second I left to get food arrrrgh

Really tired right now, for whatever reason... can't go to sleep yet, though, since I still have homework to do. :|

Wish I didn't have it because urggggghh so bored of it, but... gotta do something, yeah? I've been lollygagging on this assignment enough already, I suppose. *sigh*

To unwind I did some sketches in opencanvas... after like a billion terrible drawings, I managed something I'm kinda happy with!

Just a random boy. The anatomy seems weird, but that's because I just drew it straight out rather than planning anything. Not how I usually go, but it was actually pretty relaxing.

I may revisit this some other time, but I really oughta get back to work now. :|

I guess Luke is just doomed to having his oversized head looking even more oversized than it really is! Ahaha check out the noggin on that kid! What a nerd!

More on this and other Layton moichendice I've acquired recently after I do my homework, derp.

How do I get paper towel out of my refrigerator? It's encrusted onto the glass of the shelf and it's kinda super gross. I can't quite figure out how to get it off... I want more shelf space to keep my green tea-flavored soymilk. :|

IF IT HELPS, I'm pretty sure it's stuck on with sweetened pickling vinegar? I dunno. It's a little upsetting because I can't remove the shelf from the fridge (it's attached, ugh) otherwise I'd just give it a good scrubbin', which I've done before.

In other new, man oh man Hamtaro's Ham-Ham Heartbreak is the cutest game ever. *0*

Heke? Agh I want them all again now even if they were the mega-Q versions but I can't find 'em bluhoo

I won't chukchuk though!

Last night I had pasta and meatballs for dinner! It was delicious!

But then since my roommate hit her head pretty hard and got a concussion I went with her to the hospital. Being in the emergency room was eerily like those weird medical shows they have at 2am on the Discovery Health channel. Unfortunately, just like on those medical shows, the doctor wanted a lumbar puncture after the CT scan came back clear. Eek.

Luckily the LP went fine... thanks to the anesthetic she said she didn't feel a thing, so that's good. Although I hung out by her bed most of the night, I went to the waiting room during the LP. I caught part of a weird movie on SyFy about, I dunno, people with octopus arms or something. One gave a guy a swirly. It didn't make much sense.

Actually, I don't think I make much sense right now. I'm kinda tired. We didn't get back until 6am. Maybe I'll go back to sleep...

I just remembered my new computer had a webcam and microphone built in. So I tried them out.

... Whenever I record my voice I'm always horrified at how high-pitched and childish it is. ;^; If you want to hear it, I say the numbers 1-6, and also some words. Both are .wma files, sorry...

Another 4koma because I had my tablet plugged in and need to practice:

It's about how silly my hair looks when I wake up in the morning. Last panel just says "Konata" (as in the Lucky Star character).

And now, some drawings of Luke!

Straight trippin'

Playin' the fool

Showin' some attitude

... I dunno, being wet and unhappy? My hand was cramping up so I decided to not finish this one, whatever.

No idea why I signed them all in Japanese.

(Lukes x-posted to the professorlayton lj comm)

I know this from my learnings

I remember and understand things better when they amuse me. It's the reason I anthromorphise objects/abstract ideas; if things have a personality that I can relate to or otherwise imagine, I'm more likely to keep it in my brain. I remember so much art history because a lot of art history can be dramatised in my mind (let's face it, artists are total drama llamas). Certain sciences are easy to remember because I pretend things (like chemicals or organs) are doin' the things they do out of... selfishness or something I dunno. Languages I can take in because I remember things based on really lame puns or other such stupidity.

This is why I'm learning Japanese predominantly from manga. New bits of vocabulary stick with me better if they're attached to situations or terrible puns (and luckily for me, Japanese if full of awful puns). For instance, I'm not gonna forget the word 魔 (ma) very soon because not only is it the beginning of majin no fue (as in "Reiton Kyouju to Majin no Fue") it's also a word ending that's kinda like... "addict" or something. As in "メモ魔" (impulsive note-taker) and "覗き魔" (peeping tom). I first learned the kanji from Layton, but I'll never forget it because in Otaku no Musume Kouta gets a letter that starts "よ！　レイプ魔" (Yo! Rapist) ahaha

Sometimes things that seem helpful to know aren't funny to begin with, so I have to make up situations myself. This usually means trying to make up some sort of punny mnemonic or scribbling some inane comic as a study-aid. TL;DR here's a lame 4koma I drew on my vacation to help remember vocab

Luke: Professah, I'm hungry

Professor: oh

Professor: Me too

Luke: (then let's go)

Professor: Hungry for puzzles! Hahaha!

Luke: (!!)

Professor: Sorry

Gravestone: Luke / Died of starvation

orz orz orz I know that a) the Japanese is probably off, b) joke probably doesn't make much sense and c) ughhh my handwriting isn't very good, but a) I've never studied formally, back off, b) it's just a study-aid and c) writing on a tablet is weird ok?!

RANDOM FUN FACT: at Taipei airport our boarding gate on the way home was Hello Kitty themed. I kid you not. It was AMAZING but also a little strange and embarrassing

Thailand

Anyway, time for a more formal "back from Thailand, hi guys" post. Unfortunately I had planned on posting a bunch when I was there, but... such is life. The house is on the outskirts of Bangkok so I wasn't even able to get internet on my phone (or service of any kind, bummer) and of course when I'm out I'm out with the family, not having a stressful time trying to type sentences using a numpad. e_e; Oh well!

Highlights! Each paragraph is a separate train of thought/story.

On the way to the airport, we took a limo service rather than 2 weeks of parking fees. The guy was from New York, and he was AMAZINGLY New York. He told us a story about going skiing, and how when he got on the lift, all the people below "looked as tiny as the poppy seeds on a bagel." I still can't get over how amazing that line it. *0*

We took Eva Air, which was fine as usual. They have little video screens on the back of all the chairs, and you can choose to watch different movies on them. I decided to check out their "Timeless Classics" section, which contained the movies Iron Man, Home Alone and Elf. OKAY. So I finally got to watch Iron Man in French, which was fun. I got through about 20 minutes of it in Japanese but the voices got on my nerves.

At Taipei airport there was a guy with the EXACT SAME HAIRSTYLE as Neku from TWEWY. Well ok, not exactly--his hair was closer to a normal person color and he somehow managed to have long hair at the bottom of the back, but... whaaaa?

In Thailand, we did lots of fun stuff or whatever. I wore long pants and always wrapped myself thoroughly in blankets when I slept so I didn't get very many mosquito bites at all. Unfortunately the ones I did get were on the bottom of my feet, ugggh.

Khun'Tha (grampa on mothers' side) was out of the hospital. When he saw me he said I didn't look Thai or American at all, instead I looked Chinese. Then I got a haircut and everyone said I looked like a Japanese cartoon character. :| Oh well, it was a good thing I got a haircut because it turns out my cousin, Pi'Cane, now has the exact same hairstyle I had! Only a lot nicer. His hair is so nice. :[ Not faiiiiir. Unfortunately he doesn't know much English. Cha'Aim, my 9-year-old cousin, knows a lot more English than he does (Cane is 6 months older than me). A few times it felt like I knew more Thai than he knew English. *sigh*

Right now he's into collecting figures. Well, he always was, but I think he's more serious about it now. I got him to take me around to all his favorite stores which was very fun. At one, I found a keychain/phone charm of Mishima from Oofuri!! Awesome.

While figures are about the same price to slightly less as those in America (they do still have to be imported from Japan, after all) the games are much more expensive, thanks to the luxury tax. DS games were around $150+ USD whaaaat

Right now Ben 10 is really popular in Thailand so there was Ben 10 merch EVERYWHERE. There were tons of little kids in gloriously busy Ben 10 shirts.

The kids really wanted to see Avatar, so we saw it in theatres. For some reason, Avatar costed twice as much as a normal movie in Thailand. In fact, the normal showings cost as much as the usual price for a 3-d or IMAX movie there. In other words, it cost $6 USD. o_o; As usual the theatres there are 5 billion times nicer than the ones in America (cleaner, nicer seats, &c). The movie was very eh, however. Also hahaha why were the subtitles in papyrus.

I accidentally plugged my DS charger into the foreign power converter on the wrong setting and it started smoking, got extremely hot, and some strange, plasticy-smelling liquid oozed out of the sides. Um. I got a replacement, luckily. This new charger works fine, except for that when my DS is fully charged and the charger is still plugged in the DS makes a curious high-pitched humming noise. Hmmmmm.

Since it was New Years, a lot of people came to visit. Pi'Ja, who was a maid for us when I was little, came and when she saw me she grabbed my arm and talked excitedly to everyone else in Thai. I asked my mom later what she had said. "Was she surprised at how big I got?" "No," replied my mom, "she was surprised at how short you still are." AGGGH. Yes, I'm short even in Thailand. :| Life is so unfair.

On the way back, on the plane, they had Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, so I watched that. Then I watched it again in Japanese which was really cute. Then I started to watch it again in French but the "a la mode" joke wasn't very funny in French so I decided to take a nap.

Ok that's enough of that

One of my favourite things about Thailand is the way things are translated, and by "things" I mean the names of movies & TV shows. Although I'm told they're catchier in Thai, they sound really blunt and ridiculous back in English. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before that in Thai, Yu-Gi-Oh! is called something like "The game which is played by geniuses". :3 Crush Gear Nitro is "Tiny fighting robot cars" (awesome) and Wagamama FAIRY Mirumo de Pon! is "Tiny love angel cupid Mirumo". On the American side, Courage the Cowardly Dog is "Courage the brave dog" (way to miss the point Thailand) and Cow and Chicken is "Stupid and Ugly" if I'm remembering correctly.

Avatar lucked out and kept its name because "avatar" is also a Thai word meaning "rebirth" but Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is "Amazing falling meatballs" (which is still a movie I'd totally see). Up seems like a simple title to translate, but there it's "Fantastic Grandpa". And Wall-E which seems the simplest of all (seriously it's the main character's name what is there to translate) is called "Tiny robot with a heart who is the protector/saviour of the green world" ahaha

Anyway, it's way too cold here. It was too hot there, but still. Also I miss getting to drink Oishi brand green tea and Ohayo brand soymilk and use Kodomo baby powder and watch Kamikaze Club on TV and why on earth is everything in Thailand named in Japanese, seriously

By the way I bought I Professor Layton DS case, aww yeahh

lemme hear a WHOOP WHOOP

Ohoho guess who's typing on a new computer

I'll give you a hint, it's someone with my name

:> Verbicidal II is my beautiful new darling, and I shall love him and cherish him, ahhh, so nice~ Also this means I can start being an updating person again at the schools. (I am... somehow uncomfortable typing the blogs on other peoples' computers. Somehow.)

Anyway, I have, as of yesterday, officially finished EVERY SINGLE PUZ in PL4, yessss. Even the last puzzle in the last secret house, which was as usual a slide puzzle, god I hate slide puzzles. Also SPOILER? it was TWO slide puzzles, if I hadn't been warned I would have probably thrown my DS in anger

I solved almost every single puzzle all by myselfs (and my dictionary) except for maybe like 6 that I completely misinterpreted/did not understand in the slightest so had to ask for helps. But this means I even solved a good deal of totally-in-Japanese-for-reals puzzles on my own brains! I feel as if I've leveled up! I'm so pleased as pepsi with myself that I'm even translating the puzzles into English for my own sick enjoyment/helping a guide what I like! Even the very first puzzle which has to be completely re-written to fit the puzzle type while still keeping the same meaning, I wrote it! If you would like a sneak-preview of what the first puzzle might be when the English version comes out (in like 5 years idk) or just feel like clicking lj-cut links, have at you!

Before the puzzle starts Remi reads a letter Layton gets. And then she's all, "Professor what does this lunatic think he's blathering on about" and the Professor says "<strike>helping lunatics is the way of an English Gentleman</strike> There's a sekrit message hidden in the letter, can you find it?!"

WHOOSH PUZZLE SCREEN

DING

PUZZLE 001: MESSAGE IN A <strike>BOTTLE</strike> LETTER

LIKE 10/10 PICARATS OR SOMETHING
Hello Layton, my old and trusted friend. I have an
entreaty for your great talents. This is no joke,
listen to me calmly. In the dark night fogs a giant
puzzle appears in the town, destroying buildings.
Maybe you can prevent the worst from happening. I
eagerly await your arrival at my home.
                              - Clark Triton
(Answer is 6 letters long)

HINT 1: Oh come on it's the first puzzle don't be lame

HINT 2: Just read the letter man

HINT 3: Do you seriously not see the secret message

HINT S: Maybe you should have bought Just Imagine: Babyz after all.

By the way, Professor's age was revealed in Majin no Fue. GASP, etc. Now I'm trying to figure out a timeline, probably post in the PL community when I get my thoughts a little more in order.

Anyway I'm currently slogging through London Life, which is a game composed almost entirely of fetch-quests, but still rather endearing. Slogging only because Michie gave me a quest in the form of a poem and I have no idea what to get for her so she's clogging up my unfinished tasks lists, urggh.

h-happy new year...?

So it's been new year for almost 12 hours now in Thailand... Year 2553 if I'm not mistaken. There were fireworks that made it hard to sleep and a whole lotta people at central world. I chose an unfortunate day to visit the kinokuniya at isetan, I guess. Though it was probably good I did since I picked up some manga and now at least have something to amuse myself with. Last night I accidentally fried my ds charger. :/ aaaaaaaghhh I was like 3/4 through reiton kyouju to majin no fue ;0; ogod and what am I gonna do during my ~36 hours of plane flight back home at the end of the week noooo

Plus it'll be super long delays at airport, life sucks

Anyway that's enough phone typing for now. :x I couldn't get wireless to work on the netbook at the house, so I've got no internet really... It's only working now since I'm at the hospital visiting my grandma who fainted. :| hm.

Hello, everyone! Sorry for... uh... dying for a while there. I do that sometimes when I'm depressed. Sadface, murrr, &c.

Anyway, I'm currently at the airport in Anchorage Alaska! Goin' to be visitin' the folks in Thailand, yup... This is the first stopover. Then another ~11 hours to Taipei. Then like 5 more hours to Thailand. On top of the ~8 hours already, ugh, I wish we could get that totally sweet 17 hour straight flight again. Silly economy, ruining my travel... things.

Mm. So it's, like, 7am where I'm from... 3am here... 7pm in Thailand? I don't know anymore... I've been playing Mother 2 for like the past 10 hours. I dunno.

Plane's boarding again...

The word phobia means to fear or to hate. Here are ten things I fear and ten things I hate, in no particular order, and leaving off obvious things. Like clowns. /shudder

FEARS:

Having my finger/toenails ripped off

Being trampled by livestock

Down Escalators

Being stung by a bee in the eye

Forgetting my name

Driving in a mail truck

Drowning

Ovens and stoves

Being strangled

The noises you only hear when alone

HATES:

Mourning doves

Wearing watches

Clothes shopping

People who give out religious pamphlets instead of candy on Halloween

Insomnia

Overpriced merchandise

Losing things

Things that feel greasy

Neo-nazis

Hugs >:|

In other news, I saw Bumpits at the store today. Y'know, those stupid hair... accessory... thingies? But it didn't occur to me that's what they were at first so I was trying to figure out what bumpits meant.
An idea for the cospaly

So.

Unfortunately the wig I need to fix up my Yayoi costume is... not gonna be happening. As a result, last minute change of plans whoo!

It's a character from a manga that I like. A totally wholesome manga!

Wait no that's a lie

Actually it's this girly:

I had been planning as cosplaying as her a while ago but ended up getting sidetracked by finding THE PERFECT BAKURA SHIRT so I already own those exact boots :3 And although you can't tell from that pic, she's wearing white thigh-high socks which I also already own! Sweet!

And luckily since it's halloween season I can totally hit up a store for a cheap red riding hood costume (especially since I can get a kids' one since I just need the mini-caplet.) And then I can... I dunno sew a buckle onto the hood or something.

For the wig I'm thinking something like this one... does it seem long enough? I want one that already has the appropriate bang style and this seems pretty perfect.

My main problem is that dress and that apron, but mostly that apron. :| The dress I can probably fake the sleeves onto and although it's supposed to have a collar I can probably forego that on account of the caplet. Plus, since I have a lacy underskirt I don't necessarily need a dress that has a white frill at the bottom... but that apron! Where do I get a heart-shaped white apron?! Though they seem to be a staple of apron-play ero-manga (fun fact: actually I really hate apron-play), do they actually exist? Do I have to break down and sew ANOTHER one myself?! (I half made one once but uhhh it turned out the wrong size because I suck at measuring cloth proper)

I refuse to shop anywhere crude, guys

EDIT: on second thought I could make things easier on myself and base it off her second outfit... but ouiin the heart-apron is pretty cute. :| Decisions, decisions!

Also: does sumi ink ruin stuffed animals or can I use it to dye some fake fur to make her fluffy litte kitty-cat friend?

By the way, dragonsofavalon, if you don't cosplay as anything in particular you're gonna accidentally be casplaying as another guy from this same manga... if you don't want that, better think of something! :3

Regardless of whether or not you wanted to read all that, here's a drawing of Insector Haga that I re-found in My Pictures while looking for those scans. :3

Anyway now I'm gonna go back to enjoy listening to the Buffy "Once More With Feeling" soundtrack... in French! Haha Il faut pas dire is such an amazing song

NYC

Saw a guy walking down the street on a date with a blow-up doll today

The feeling I got looking at the gaping mouth was just... ugh. Oh, New York City. Oh, you crazy, terrible place.

Went to Kinokuniya for the most recent CoroCoro as usual. This month's Professor Layton had a Don Paolo shower scene, hurr. Unlike the infamous Layton scene, Paolo's covered by convenient steam. The manga-ka really likes shower scenes, huh?

Then when I stopped by Book-Off, Reiton games 1 & 2 were there in Japanese. ;0; If 3 were there I woulda gotten it, but... no such luck. Ahh but it felt nice to hold the boxes and dream...! No use double-buying them at the moment since the puz would probably kill me.

Then I went and snagged the last volume of Yatteranneeze! (finally!) along with 1$ Lucky Star volume and some Oofuri, so a mostly good haul. I also eyed certain manga that I'll probably go buy when I'm not there with my parents orz

Anyway Project Runway's on gotta go listen to Tim Gunn's voice ♥

Edit: Japanese is such an obnoxiously adorable language >:| Sometimes reading it makes me so angry...!

pumped up over nothing

Wekh didn't you just post like an hour ago Hngggh I have more to say now! And it's unrelated! So!

Just now I finished Lux-Pain. It only took me three days hurrr I'm insane. Also half of my playing time was on the first day orz. Then again I wasn't feeling well on that day so I just sat down and played into eternity but whatever.

I both enjoyed it super a lot and was driven slightly insane by the terrible localisation. I mean, one of the translators CLEARLY does not know the difference between ANY PRONOUNS IN ENGLISH and ALWAYS uses the EXACT OPPOSITE of what's supposed to be used which makes it a tiny bit super confusing because it's a plot-heavy game D: Also misspelling FORT as PHOTO was kinda "wat". But!

Ohhh the characters were all so cute. Even though it became a bit too "shoved in your face canon" by the end, I did like Rui... and even though I was slightly scared of him, Akira too. :| Plus, I was working so hard for a gay end with Ryo, ahhhn~ But I guess he ended up with Kiryu or something, I dunno.

Also when I first saw Shinji my reaction was "oh I just wanna tie you up♥"

But why couldn't I date MeiLin? ;0; Was it because I didn't know where Chairman Mao was born? Noooo I should have paid more attention in Totalitarianism class .___. I'm so sorry, MeiLin!

I guess I'm going to replay it over time so that I can unlock all of the extra date scenes. :| I wish I knew a surefire way to do it, though. For instance, I only unlocked the first part of my date with Ryo, and late in-game, so I have no idea how to trigger them... augh. I hope there are dates with MeiLin hidden there ;0;

In the meantime I still have to finish my (3rd?) replay of Hotel Dusk (halfway through), replay of all the Gyakuten Saiban games (on last case of Apollo Justice) and play Trauma Center 2 (still near the beginning). And then also I'm gonna restart TWEWY because when I started playing it my DS broke and I never finished... And then Professor Layton 2 will be out in 4 days... argh! And this is just on DS, I have things to finish on PS2... Why does it seem as if school always starts too early?!

After looking over this entry: I'm writing way too exitibly and stream-of-conciousness lately. Hopefully once school starts and I'm on my proper meds again I'll calm down. 'Til then I'm going to have to totally run around right now I've got so much pent-up energy and the battery for my Barbie Corvette arrived I want to hook it up and go joy-ridin' right nowwwww

Lame!

Last night I dreamt that I was playing the 2nd Professor Layton game. I was super happy, solving puzzles & whatever, when I decided to check out the Professor's Trunk so I could see if I had enough stickers for the storybook minigame... but then I remembered that the storybook minigame was in PL3, not 2. And then I remembered that PL2 isn't even out yet, so I realised I was only having a dream so I couldn't actually solve the puzzles. D:

I was super-disappointed so I went and told my mother I was having a dream (still in-dream) and she said that was nonsense to dream about something like that, and anyway I should stop playing so many games. So I spent the rest of my dream watching some stupid horror movie about a guy with a finger in his head or something.

Ugh, this kind of lame dream is the absolute worst. You can't feel refreshed because it's too close to everyday life to feel as if you've slept... it's almost as bad as having stayed awake all night anyway, but without the feel of having actually done anything.

Back on Track! Or not!

Today I finally started playing Persona 3. What? What's that you say? You're a few years behind, Wekhter? WELL WHATEVER. I'M ENJOYING IT ANYWAY. .____. But I'm very sad that the space for names is so short, since I couldn't fit the whole last name in. Now everyone is calling me Wekhter Rice and I'm thinking "It's Wekhter Chicken-Rice, Chicken-Rice!"

...

Yeah so anyway while I was offline I made some paperchildren. Here's ONE of them. The other ones... some of them are not very kid/parent-friendly, teehee, so I need time to photograph them.

There's actually a whole line of ds cartridges that it's rolling up off-panel, but I totally failed at getting the camera to focus so this is all you can see. Whee!

Also I'm thinking about totally tricking out my Barbie Corvette. You know, Power Wheels? I have the version from 1990 and I think it needs a facelift.

And by facelift I mean FLAMES. Or mabye not. I'm still trying to think through the colour scheme, really.

... well, maybe I don't fit very well, but what of it?

Also I'm hoping to rewire her to take 12-volts instead of 6 and increase her speed. Ufufu.
