You know I’d fight for you but how can I find someone who isn’t even there?
I’ve had the rest of you now I want the best of you and I don’t care if that’s not fair.

After her incident in the locker room, Aiden had taken a cab to the bar a couple blocks from her apartment where she spent a good couple of hours drowning her sorrows. Once she felt that it was enough, she managed to find another cab and gave what she believed was the directions to her apartment when in fact it was Flack’s. It was out of habit and an accident.

In matter of minutes, the cab pulls up to Flack’s apartment complex and she stumbles out before handing the cab driving the money. She has everything memorized and she slowly makes her way inside and up the stairs to Flack’s apartment door. She finally realizes she’s at the wrong apartment when she tries to turn “her” door handle to only find it locked and before she knew it, Flack was there staring curiously at her.

“Flack?” She asks surprised as she stares at him. “What the hell are you doing here?” She sways slightly.

“Why am I here?” He repeats her question as he forces himself not to laugh at her stupidity. “I live here.”

Aiden gives him a puzzled look. “Whhaa? You? Nooo. I live here, duh.”

Flack smiles sadly before gently grabbing her arm and pulling her inside. “C’mon Aid. You’re wasted as fuck.”

“I’m not waassted.” Aiden slurs as he closes the door behind them before guiding her to his couch.

“Sit.” He tells her as he gently pushes her down onto the couch before sighing. Somehow, this is beginning to feel like old times. “I’m gonna go get you a glass of water and you,” he points at her, “don’t move.”

“Don’t move. Got it.” She says as she giggles and falls over onto her side as Flack heads off into the kitchen.

Two minutes later, Flack moves back to the couch lifts Aiden upright and hands her the glass of water. She takes it and gulps it down quickly before giggling again and leaning her head on his shoulder. “I lied.” She whispers as she grabs his hand and runs her fingers across his strong yet gentle hand.

“Lied about what?”

“My feelings. Duh.” She giggles again as she leans over and kisses his ear gently. “I still love you.” She whispers, her hot breath running across his ear as she gently begins to nibble at his ear lobe.

Flack knows it feels good, hell, he has been waiting forever for her to say those words again but he did not want to hear it from drunken Aiden. He wanted to hear it from her, hear it come truly from the depth of her heart. “You should get some sleep.” He tells her as he manages to pull away and she gives him a heartbreaking look.

“Whaaat? You don’t love meee?” She asks as he stands up and moves about the room. “Whyyy?”

He stops pacing, his mind running of what he should do next with her and as he glances over, he catches her eye and quickly looks away. Within seconds, Flack goes with his gut and he walks over to Aiden before slipping his arms under her body and lifting her off the couch so he’s carrying her. She giggles and wraps her arms around his neck as she smirks. “What are you doing?”

He ignores her as he moves down the hall, past the rooms on the side before kicking open his bedroom door and placing her gently onto his bed. He feels her fingers trail across his chest and he swallows hard as he remembers that she is drunk and none of this is real. She will not even remember what happened and so Flack swats her hand away in rejection as he gives her a serious look. “I’m not fooling around Aid. I’m gonna get you to sleep.” He tells her as he removes her jacket from her shoulders.

“Then what the fuck are you doing?” She asks as he begins to take her shirt off.

“I’m undressing you. No way in hell you’re sleeping in these clothes in my bed and don’t worry,” he says as he sees the look on her face, “I have some sweatpants and a t-shirt you can wear for tonight.”

“This is...my...body!” She attempts to yell as the alcohol plays with her tongue.

“I’ve seen you naked before. Nothing to hide.” He assures her as he takes off her shirt before reaching over to grab the oversized t-shirt and slipping it onto her slender body.

After a couple of seconds, Aiden gives up and lets him finish changing her. Her body feels numb and weak from the alcohol and her skin feels like it is on fire every time she feels his touch linger over her body. A part of her could not comprehend what the fuck was going on because this was beginning to feel like old times; times when she would find herself in his clothes the next morning with the smell of his skin closely besides her. For a second it does feel as if she had jumped back a couple of days and everything was back to normal. She would wake up, he would take her in his arms and he would run his fingers through her hair while whispering confessions of love across her skin. They would sit there for minutes and listen to one another’s breathing until the sound of the alarm announced that work was not going to wait for them.

Somehow, the memories sober her up slightly and she finds herself crying. Flack notices the tears after he had slipped his pants onto her and he suddenly feels a wave of fear hit his heart. Thoughts began racing through his mind. Did I hurt her? Did I do something wrong?

“Aid?” He asks softly as the tears continue to flow from her eyes. “What’s wrong?”

“I-I’m sorry Don.” She chokes. “I’m so sorry.”

“Sorry for what?” He asks in concern as she turns on her side so she is not facing him anymore. How could he be so kind to her after what she has done? She kicked him out, acted like a fool and he still came back for her.

She mumbles more "I'm sorry"’s into his covers as he sits there silently, letting her cry. He gently rubs his hand along her arm as she continues to cry, his heart tearing into two.

When her sobs finally end, he gently reaches over and lifts her up. His arms wrap around her limp body as he pulls her close to him, her head resting gently on his shoulder. “Don’t be sorry.” He whispers as he kisses her forehead gently. “I’ll wait.”

“…Wait for what?” She asks, her voice barely audible.

“For us.”

She slowly lifts her head off his shoulders as she gazes up at him. “Us?”

“Us.” He reassures her as he leans forward and presses his lips against hers. Aiden hesitates but then she finally gives in and opens her mouth for him, his tongue quickly finding hers. He can taste the alcohol that still lingers in her mouth and that snaps him back to the main problem of why Aiden Burn was here with him on his bed.

She was drunk.

He slowly pulls away and she smiles lazily at him before resting her head back on his shoulder, her eyes lids becoming extremely heavy. “I love you Don.”
