They said Christ will reign for 1,000 years, but buddy, did He ever get 1,000 subscribers? Technically, yes. He got more but the point remains that this was not during the digital era, thus it is not possible to know what the Savior’s analytics would look like.

This week, I published a blog over at Defector Media using my expertise about imperial cults to make a few jokes about coverage of Kim Jong Un. Weed Church is a place for fun, and now that blog got us over the cliff with a few more fun lovers.

We’ve hit 1,000 subscribers. We did it. And by “we” I mean you, the people who open this meandering, idiotic thing that I use as a brief creative outlet while working on big projects. Thanks for being here and entertaining my goofball compulsions while I channel Serious Writer Man things into other places (not the Kim blog).

The fine folks at Substack sent me this email with the attached image file I can use to promote my success. I’ve got a few design notes, but I appreciate the gesture.
