Is HighLevel really good? Is it worth the price? Here in my HighLevel Review, I’ll go over my experience using it, so you can determine if it’s the right fit for your business. If you have your own business or you have an agency that helps other businesses, you’ll want to read the complete review.
If you’re not familiar with HighLevel, it’s a suite of automation tools that helps businesses generate more leads, acquire more customers, improve customer satisfaction, and automate workflow tasks making things easier for business owners and agencies.
Getting Started with HighLevel
HighLevel does make it really easy to get started. They do assign an onboarding person to help you out—at least they did in my case. Because I’m the type of person that just likes to dive in and work on my own, that’s what I did. And, if you prefer to work that way, you’ll be happy to know that HighLevel provides a Launchpad guide list that you can use to start creating your websites and other HighLevel components.
Building a Website with HighLevel
HighLevel has done a great job with their website creation functionality. You can easily select one of the many available website templates and use the drag and drop editor to customize your site pages for your business. The site editor is very intuitive, with the only possible area of confusion being the domain connection process. It’s not hard, but you have to know where to find the right settings areas in HighLevel to get your custom domain working.
Creating a Sales Funnel with HighLevel
Creating a funnel in HighLevel is very similar to creating a website there. In fact, the templates are very similar—with the exception being that with funnels you have a single page as opposed to a multipage website. The drag and drop editor works the same when creating funnels. You can incorporate forms, surveys, and other items into your funnel page via popups.
You can connect your funnel to a separate domain or you can use the same domain that you use for your website. I like how HighLevel allows you to incorporate forms, videos, and other items into your funnel page. Because of the similarities between working with websites and funnels in HighLevel, and because there are many features available, there may be a bit of a learning curve when you’re starting out. However, once you’ve created the different components once, it does become easier.
HighLevel Email Marketing
You can incorporate email and email marketing with your HighLevel account. The only real task here is getting everything setup right the first time if you’re using your own custom domain located somewhere else (e.g. GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.). You’ll need to create a subdomain and add some dns records at your domain registrar. If you’re familiar with and have worked with dns before, then you shouldn’t have a problem. However, if you haven’t worked with dns, you should have customer support walk you through the process.
Once you have your email account setup, you can then easily implement your email marketing campaigns.
HighLevel Workflow Automations
The real power of HighLevel comes after you’ve created the basic components. With HighLevel, you can create all kinds of workflow automations such as Email Drip Sequences, Appointment Bookings and Confirmations, Registrations and Confirmations, Social Media Comment Automations, etc.
For example, I was able to easily create a drip email automation sequence by using one of the pre-existing templates and making a few customizations. HighLevel’s workflow automation chart makes it easy to set everything up for your workflow campaign. So, for the email automation sequence you can set up different A/B scenarios depending on what action or non-action your potential customer takes.
Adding Live Chat Support to Your HighLevel Website or Funnel
One of the best features you get with HighLevel that I really like is the ability to add live chat (or at least real time automated chat) to your website or funnel. You can easily customize the look, messages, and other chat criteria beforehand, then quickly link it to the website or funnel you’ve created in HighLevel. There is also an option to add it to WordPress.
HighLevel’s live chat feature is a great and affordable way to add chat support to your websites. And, unlike other chatbot services, with HighLevel your audience doesn’t need to connect to a separate platform like Facebook Messenger, Instagram, etc. Chat is definitely one of the best features here.
HighLevel Social Media Marketing
Another feature I like is how you can connect HighLevel with your social media to schedule and manage your posts across multiple accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.). You can also manage your Facebook and Instagram ads here.
HighLevel Customer Support
The good news is that HighLevel provides great onboarding training along with many different support channels including Chat Support, Help Center, Video Tutorials, Communities, and Phone Support.
The automated chat support was kind of hit and miss at this point. Sometimes it was able to answer my questions and other times it didn’t respond correctly or at all. Hopefully, in the future they will also incorporate some live chat support. But, as I mentioned above, there are plenty of other ways to get help with HighLevel including phone support.

HighLevel Pricing and Plans
At first glance, HighLevel’s plans may seem expensive at $97 mo. and $297 mo., respectively. However, taking into account all of the features and functionality that is included with HighLevel, you’re probably saving money—and getting a lot more value. HighLevel has their own pricing comparison chart on their website that you can check out below:
However, I like to use my own pricing comparison—focusing on just 5 of the major components of HighLevel. I break it down this way:
Bluehost $3.99 mo.
Email Marketing:
AWeber $30 mo.
Automated Chat Support:
Chatfuel $23.99 mo.
Workflow Automation:
Zapier $29.99
Sales Funnels:
ClickFunnels $97 mo.
With just these components alone, you would pay about $185 mo. if purchasing each one separately—almost twice as much as HighLevel. Plus, with HighLevel you’re also getting Appointment Bookings, Surveys and Forms, Reputation Management, Call Tracking, Communities, and CRM/Pipeline Management.

Conclusion: Should You Use HighLevel?
Overall, I am definitely impressed with HighLevel. It’s the best all-inclusive business automation tools suite that I’ve used. There are two main audiences that should definitely consider using HighLevel. First, if you have a business and need a complete marketing solution, I would recommend at least trying out HighLevel. You can opt for their 14 day free trial.
Secondly, if you have an agency and you want to provide marketing services to multiple clients, then HighLevel makes a lot of sense. You can manage multiple accounts, and even white label HighLevel and sell it as your own business automation suite.
After testing it out myself, I give HighLevel high marks for putting together a great collection of automation tools that businesses can use to stay ahead of their competition and generate more leads which hopefully turn into more customers and more revenue. See my review ratings below.
