Roanoke College Application for Readmission


Students who have left Roanoke College for any reason may apply for readmission to return. This includes alumni, those who transferred to another institution, those who were withdrawn by Roanoke College, and those who withdrew voluntarily.

If you are requesting to return after taking a withdrawal for health reasons through the Office of the Dean of Students, please complete this form instead.

Students wishing to return following an academic suspension must reapply at least one month prior to the beginning of the term in which re-instatement is desired.

Please note, Roanoke College is a four-year residential college. To be eligible for commuter status, you must live with a parent or guardian within 30 miles of the college. To be eligible for off-campus status, you must meet one of the following criteria: married, 23 or older, military veteran, have a dependent child, will enroll part-time, or are returning as a 5th year senior. For more information please visit Reslife’s residency requirement webpage. Additional documentation may be required by Residence Life & Housing to change your housing status.
