Speakers & Panelists

Luca got involved in Bitcoin in 2013 and in 2017 he saw opportunity in Ethereum’s promise to allow the creation of Decentralised Autonomous Organizations (DAOs).

He accepted Bitcoin for payments in his booking platform since 2014, in 2017 launched a DAO in the travel space (Trips Community) which minted the first NFT booking for accommodations, and the first NFT hotel booking in the world, in 2021.

In 2022 he published a book on The future of Bookings in Web3“.
He is the host of the Web3 in Travel Podcast“.

In 2022, with Trips Community has organised the first Web3 in Travel” conference in Porto, Portugal and in 2023 in Barcelona.

In 2024 he co-founded Tectris, the first accelerator dedicated to Web3 in Travel, of which the semi-finals will be at the conference in Umbria.

Luca is a Web3 consultant specialising in Travel with his company Adormo.com

Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Falkensteiner Ventures, overseeing a diverse portfolio of travel and hospitality tech startups. 

He previously served as MD at Thomas Cook for their City/Domestic tour operator platform. 

Beat currently holds board positions in several startups and established companies across Europe’s travel and hospitality sector.

He is the initiator and co-founder of Tectris, the first accelerator dedicated to Web3 in Travel, of which the semi-finals will be at the conference in Umbria.

Mike Sung was the Director of Partner Success at Plug and Play Travel and Hospitality, a global innovation platform that connects startups with corporate partners in the travel and hospitality industry.

He has been in the Plug and Play ecosystem for 8 years on both the startup and corporate partner side, and officially joined the company in 2020, and in this role, he supported the platform’s operations and strategic initiatives, manages relationships with corporate partners and startup companies, and drives innovation in the industry.

Before joining Plug and Play, Mike held several hospitality operations and technology positions in the travel industry, including hospitality startups as Director of Product and Integrations.

Before his move to Silicon Valley, Mike led multiple professional services teams at Oracle Hospitality, formerly Micros System, where he led various technology installations, conversions, and integrations for global hospitality suppliers.

Mike currently advises early stage travel startups and is Head of the
Stays at a next generation AI powered P2P travel marketplace,
NowBoarding.Ai.

Riccardo Cocco is a passionate hospitality expert with over 30 years of experience in the industry.
He is a Revenue & Profit Management expert, Hotel Manager, and Consultant who has worked with many of the most important national and international Hotel Companies, including DistinctiveOne hotels & resorts, Alpitour World Hotels & Resorts (VOIhotels), Radisson Blu Hotels & Resorts, The Charming Hotels of the World, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

In 2009, Riccardo served as Director for the 14 facilities used as hotels for the G8/G20 summit in L’Aquila, inside the Coppito military base, managing hospitality for over 32 guest nations.

He teaches “Revenue Management” and “Tourism Distribution Systems” at the University of Roma Tor Vergata and is co-Founder of FORMAT – Ospitalita’ d’autore and FORMAT service.

Together with his wife Francesca, Riccardo created Sweet Collection, the reference brand for short-term rentals. His extensive experience and expertise make him a valuable asset in the hospitality industry, particularly in the areas of revenue management, hotel operations, and innovative hospitality concepts.

Cristina Pardo

Cristina is an international lawyer with more than 15 years of experience in corporate, M&A and restructuring transactions, national and international contract practice and general corporate and commercial law. She has advised several technology companies on their structuring, fundraising, M&A transactions and regulatory issues. She has also advised companies on the implementation of strategic contracts required for their digital asset activities. Cristina is a web3 and technology enthusiast, passionate about the vision of Chain4Travel and eager to use her vast professional experience to ensure that the project complies with all legal requirements.

Cristina aims to present the most important legal challenges to be taken into consideration for all the companies that want to start or are starting a Web3 project, and more specifically she will explain how the current regulations apply to the Web3 world in the travel sector

Francesco_Vincenti

Founder os Digitalia, Advancing Web3 and Digital Public Goods in Italy.

Francesco will talk about the Network State, his research and digital nomadism in Italy and the world.
